This sand has brings to mind the rich soil of the prairie plains, giving strong defining shades of tans and browns with specks of apricot throughout. 0.8 - 1.2mm in size - it has a dense composition and low fines so does not blow around in your tank. Perfect to create a featured pathway in your aquascape or as a base for a natural 'scape. As a rule of thumb, you need 1lb/gallon, so if you have a 20 gallon tank, 20lbs is enough for a 1/2in layer. If you want to build up the height of your decor or have a lower flatter aquarium, change that 1.5-2lbs/gallon

If you want this sand for something like an aquarium, JUST DO IT! It looks just fantastic and it BARELY mists the water (it goes away within maybe an hour)

I was too lazy to wash it, it is crystal clear, by far the best sand I've ever seen on the market. Its also not super thin So its harder to disturb and doesn't irritate the skin. 5 star sand, if you're buying sand, buy this sand.

It looks great in my 40b and barely had to wash it compared to other sand substrates I’ve used before. I’ll buy this brand again for sure

Very nice natural looking sand, but despite being advertised as "triple washed" I ended up needing to wash my bag because it still had a fair bit of dust that did not settle when rinsing. I spent almost 45 minutes washing it in a 5 gallon bucket. Still, I like the coarseness of this sand, since fine sands can be problematic for aquariums but I also don't like gravel bottoms. Would've been 5 stars if it was cleaner, I still recommend it
