Looks great! Taking the advice of other products: rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse. When it comes out clear, rinse again. I have a 3 gallon tank, and I would estimate I used a little more than 3/4 of the bag. I could have probably used the entire bag if I really wanted to, but I don't need that thick of a floor.

The gravel rinsed 'clean' pretty easily in a 5 gallon bucket. I like the look, the size & the shape of the substrate. My panda corys are really happy with the change, and I like how the color compliments their coloring.

Exactly what I wanted and was a good base for the sand in my tank, it is the bottom layer of my tank. I did wash it before setting it in the tank so ensure it was clean even though it says prewashed, but that was just a personal preference and choice.

A beautiful look in any tank, has exactly the look I was looking for! Smooth rocks that aren't too small, can easily siphon around them and they hold down any decor you'd put inside! A beautiful mix of colors and shapes. Rinsed clean in about 4 rinses, I will absolutely be buying this again in the future!

This is the 3rd & best substrate that i have found! Started off with sand but it was quite dusty and I have live plants, so. Then I decided to give Fluval a try to help with plant growth. Ummmm, it took forever for it to settle, dirt/dust covered my green plants & I got weird brown algae deposits that oddly looked like the Fluval. FINALLY, I decided to put the work in again to replace & this is the best! I rinsed a few good times, took a day or so to settle with a little fogginess & the next day, my water is crystal clear & the aquarium looks great! I hope the plants grow well in it, I will be using fertilizer.

I purchased two bags of Gold Pearl to replace the quartz gravel in my small aquarium. One bag was as described - small multicoloured pebbles. The other bag was much finer orange brown gravel. Yes - I can probably use the latter bag on the bottom - but not what I purchased. So disappointed.
