These water filters are a direct replacement for the OEM cartridges that came in my whole house filter unit. They fit inside the housing perfectly and do a great job of removing waterborne impurities.

These filters last for about 1 year and keep our usable water clear from rust particles in our well. They also cut down on the amount of times each year that we have to clean the filters in our water softener. Well worth the investment.

It is hard to know if a lower cost item will work the way it is supposed to but these filters are well priced and work exactly like they are supposed to. We just recently bought more of them. Being a pleated filter, they only remove sediment, so do not expect any change in the taste but for simple particulate removal, they are idea.

These filters or fine, great but, nothing is indicating that they are 5 or 10 Micro filtration.I'm assuming that they are 5 micro and that's OK but, I would have preferred 10 Micro filtration (last longer), plus I would have considered buying 4 units at a time. All in all, they work and I just have too clean them more often.ps: Think about a package of 4 X 10 Micron filters for ($$$) a reasonable amount. ---I'm in for that !-- eg: $14.00 X 4 = $56.00 ??? Just saying !
