I've been using these a direct replacement in my Aprilaire 400 water saver. In about a month of use these say these need replaced but I use them 3 months over the winter. If used longer than 3 months they discolor and you can start to see the pink slime on it.

My humidifier has York on the label but the humidifier is made by AprilAire. Call AprilAire to verify the correct part number for your unit.While the labeling on the box called these "filters" they are really the metal mesh that mixes water into the airstream. Minerals in the water eventually cake up on the insides of the "filters" effectively limiting or even stoping water from mixing with the air.If your furnace humidifier called for this particular part number, even if it is branded from another manufacturer, then these are what you need to keep you unit humidifying. They are very easy to replace and my unit requires no tools to change them out.
