Works perfect for me and would recommend just make sure it’s right for your year. Mine is a 2014 ram 1500

The install was a little difficult due to the location of the screws but other than that went smoothly. After the install the problem started. I programmed the truck for the trailer brakes and it showed up in the display but it didn’t show the brake engaging with foot pedal or manual switch. I hooked it up to the boat and the same problem so I thought it was defective and even started the return. I verified by using a volt meter with no output. Back to the internet and found out that it needed a load before it would display so I used a test light and the magic happened which also helped figure out that the boat harness needed repaired. Hope this helps someone.
