The starter looked like it was in great shape but mine did not work. No issues returning. I bought OEM and it worked just fine.

I chose this unit to save money since it is going on a rusting out 2008 Silverado. Starters from auto chain stores range from $168 to $230 and if this one lasts a reasonable amount of time it will have been an intelligent purchase. The OEM starter and the first replacement starter (brand unknown) lasted eight years each. Time will tell how long this one will last. It installed no harder than a more expensive brand and the diagnostic QC test sheet accompanies the unit. No problems starting after installation.

Old started worked on bench out of vehicle but would not crank vehicle once a kid applied. This new starter was easy to install - an exact match - and truck starts great now. Local parts suppliers wanted upwards of 200$ for a replacement so very happy. 2008 Chevy avalanche LTZ 5.3 L

My neighbor's chevy truck would not start. He was convinced it was his dashboard circuit board because it was flashing and no crank and his internet research told him it was the dashboard. I looked at it and saw that first his battery was bad. And it was bad because the starter was shorted and damaged the battery.I ordered this for him. He got a new battery, we installed this starter, and the truck fired right up.

This is a very good product, starts good and fast, only issue i had with the product was when I had initially installed the part it would not start but would engage, so I took part off then I used a flat head to work the starter back and forth then reinstall and works perfectly

New starter for my Chevy Avalanche 2008 truck for a fraction of the price. Solid part, starts my truck right away without hiccups. I recommend. The old one quit working suddenly- was no crank, no spin, no noise, no clicking, just quiet death
