Wow! This is a high quality stamping. I spent 45 years as a mechanical engineer, mostly in the stamping industry. I have low expectations when it comes to Chinese stampings based on real world experience. They did a great job on this part. The areas where I would expect to see high thinning show no issues and the areas where I would expect to see wrinkles are clean and sharp. The seal surface is flat and clean with consistent radii all around. I have developed several stamped oil pans for Ford and General Motors and I can tell you a part this clean doesn’t happen by accident. Bravo to the people who made this part.

Fit exactly on a 2012 Journey 3,6 Pentastar engine, Third of the the price than from the dealer You will have to buy the gasket from a auto suppler I.E Partsource .

To have the lower oil pan replaced at the dealer was a couple hundred bucks, They charged a ludicrous amount just for the materials. A mechanic I know was willing to do the job if I brought him the piece. I told him I found it on Amazon, he was like ''no way that's gonna work...it's gonna be cheap stuff and a bad fit''. Well he had to admit he was wrong afterwards, the piece fit perfectly on the Dodge Caravan 2013.However, it's a shame that the appropriate gasket doesn't come with the oil pan, as we had to order it elsewhere. It should really come as a bundle! I mean, you don't replace a lower pan without a new gasket...For the durability, the test of time will tell, but so far so good and it's been 6 months.

My old oil pan on my 2012 Dodge Caravan was close to being rusted through. I had it replaced with this one and it does what it's supposed to do. It fit perfectly and sealed like it should. I hope this one lasts for another 240,000 miles.
