I bought this 18 months ago. I barely open my car windows. And now I need to replace it again. Very poor and weak system. Since the beginning of installation was super slow and making noise. Don't buy, bad quality.

It was installed. The mechanic was testing the window, rolling it up and down a few times and it broke

My wife has a 2017 beetle coupe. I searched for awhile and only found the window regulator for the convertible. I gave up and was going to order from Volkswagen. When I was on the Volkswagen site and kept noticing that they would have written Coupe/Convertible in the listing for the part. The more I thought about it the more it made sense that it was universal for both models. The door is the same a framless window door. I ordered the part installed and it works flawless. I can't say it will last as long as the original one did but it seems of great quality and the original only lasted 7 years. I hope this helps someone else.

The unit seems to be good, it was not too difficult to install and quality seems OK, I did not have any problems with it fitting. The window seems to work as it should. We will see how long it will last, but the original VW part only lasted 10 years.I installed it on a 2013 Beetle Convertible.
