This was a perfect replacement unit for my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. It fit the rear passenger door and only took 20 minutes to completely install. I'd suggest testing the unit once it's connected, but BEFORE you reinstall the door panel. The only difference is that the female connector is a cable and not on the window motor like the OEM part, but it works all the same.As to the longevity of the unit, I've only had it installed for about a week, but will update this review if it fails within the first year.

So my initial thought unpackaging the assembly was, "This isn't as 'beefy' as the OEM unit" But then... neither was the price tag! My Caddy has 250k on it... I don't need to throw top dollar OEM at it. Installation was a breeze.... everything lined up properly... plugged it in and whah-lah... window goes up, window goes down! I agree with another reviewer though - even though the clamps that hold the window to the unit are snug.. there is some play when the window is down. But there is also some play in the OEM windows... not quite as much but we're not talking about a significant variance at all. I have a functioning window at a wallet-friendly price point. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this after much debate back and forth between a Chinese replacement or an OEM part for almost $100 more. I would always recommend going with OEM parts, but as the world has become more expensive and the pay has been staying the same throughout the years, I decided on this - almost the cheapest of the Chinese replacements. In comparing this with my OEM window regulator that was about 16 years old was this one felt like it was half the weight of the original. Another worrisome thing I saw was the motor on this one was about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the stock motor (this was my biggest concern because I figure a smaller weaker motor would probably burn up sooner). The good and/or bad news is the OEM part has a plastic bracket that held the steel cables which had cracked, this part has the same part made out of plastic. The worthiness of this may be gauged by the quality of this plastic part, as my old motor was still working, this part just had cracked causing the window to bind.On installation, you will probably want to save your old screws, I always recommend even saving the old ones where you are given new ones, there is really no replacement if you lose one, you must find another; especially on something like this where it may crap out sooner if the regulator is not firmly mounted. Specifically, you will need to re-use 6 bolts: The three bolts securing the motor, the two nuts securing the bottom two bolts, and the larger single bolt that secures the top.Installation ended up not being too shabby, but the three brackets that extend out from the motor were bent, so I needed to bend them into the right shape to bolt in. I added some of my silicone grease on the track to hopefully give it some better lubrication. It appeared there was just barely a little grease pre-installed.After install, the window rolled up and down as it should, and really, that was my objective. As far as longevity, I cannot say, but I can only assume it is much less solely by attributing weight to quality (if it's heavy, it's expensive!)For it's price, I'm going to say this is a good buy, but I may recommend buying an OEM or beefier looking regulator with possibly just swapping out the motor as long as there are no plastic parts that will end up breaking. I always wonder why everything seems robust enough and always one tiny plastic piece breaks making the whole item obsolete. Can't we just use metal? I hope as 3D printers become more advanced some can-do chap here will see crappy failures like this and design their own replacements that are made to last.08/29/2022 Update:Just wanted to update this review. The window regulator is still working just fine. Granted, it's on a window that does not get used very much, but it's still working just fine, and it's been a few years. That makes this to have been a great purchase!
