I thought they sent wrong part but when plumber came he said it will work because they sent the part to convert the striker from old one to new one. It’s very small so be careful not to toss it. My hot water is running perfect so far it’s been 2 weeks

When receiving I seen people complain that it’s not what was pictured. That is a good thing you do not want what was pictured because the one that is pictured is junk. I know I’ve went through a few of them. This is an upgraded certified replacement. I was happy to see it redesigned and working like it should. No more pilot light not lighting or staying lit. This one fixed that. As for mounting. All ports are in same location so you don’t have to redo any gas lines. It’s plug and play. Thank you A+++

It worked, we are 1 day in. But maybe you should change the product photo to what it actually is. Not sure if this is cheap aftermarket or not. But I would assume the design didn’t change much from one to what I got in the mail. Overall it has repaired my pilot light not staying lit at this time. So overall it works. Did debate on sending it back since it didn’t look correct.

Pilot would not stay lit on the burner assembly. Tried replacing the thermocouple and igniter first with no success. Received the White/Rodgers gas valve upgrade recommended by Rheem for model no. 22V40F1. Unit was a direct replacement and works great!

I ordered this twice. I need the product displayed in the picture, but this is what I got both times. However, I am going to make it work. It works fine, but I have to remove the spark igniter from the old one and attach it to the new one I got. So it works now, but be aware that the displayed product is not what you get, use my photo as reference. You may need to modify it a little to make it work with your water heater.

This was not adaptable to our hot water heater. Needed one for propane. Returned and was credited the next day. My first return. Was totally painless.

box had a different part number on it, when opened, part had correct item id even though housing aspects were different, grey and black vs blue, so I proceeded with install, threads not lining up and very difficult to start, after install noticed ignition button housing was cracked, thus allowing only 1 push before having to manually reset it and after 1 day is leaking from the tank seal.
