Product Description

Marine Magnets

Anchor magnets provide reliable solutions for an incredible range of applications

AOMAG offers a versatile range of anchor magnets for divers, with holding forces spanning from 250 lbs to 1000 lbs. Despite their incredible strength, these magnets are designed for easy, one-handed operation. Simply turn the handle vertically to release the magnet from the steel surface—and ensure it is vertical when applying it as well.

Each magnet is adaptable to countless applications. If the standard eyenut doesn't suit your needs, it can be quickly removed to attach other equipment securely.

One of the more tried and tested uses is to anchor oil containment booms, both in emergency situations following an accident at sea, as well as during controlled bunker operations. By anchoring containment booms securely at the waterline, our powerful magnets help mitigate the risk of contaminants spreading in the water. They are easy for the crew to handle, attach to the hull side, manoeuvre and release as required.

Versatility of anchor magnets

Understanding that marine and diving tasks can vary greatly, our anchor magnets are designed for versatility. Each unit can be adapted for numerous applications, going beyond the standard eyenut fitting. The eyenut assembly is easily removable, allowing you to attach different equipment as required by your specific operations.

The Importance of Using Durable Magnets Underwater

  • How Magnets Work Underwater?

Magnets maintain their magnetic properties when submerged underwater. Since water is nearly non-magnetic, it does not affect the magnetic field. Consequently, the same principles that govern magnets in air hold true underwater. This consistent performance makes our magnets ideal for various marine applications, ranging from securing equipment in subsea operations to serving as anchoring points for divers or remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

  • The Importance of Using Durable Magnets Underwater

For underwater applications, durability is as critical as functionality. At AOMAG, we ensure that all our marine magnets have excellent corrosion resistance and incorporate a robust neodymium core. These design features long-lasting performance and reliability even in the harshest marine environments.

Was expecting 3 magnets. I opened box and only found 1. Pretty expensive for just one. I definitely would not trust lifting anything with just the one they sent. Seems pretty wwak
