10K Resin 3d printer

Small Size but Big Build Voulme

  • Compatible with standard resins, water-washable resins, and tough resins (recommended viscosity <2000cps). Third-party resins need to test exposure parameters by themselves (usually increase or decrease exposure time by 10%-20%).

  • It is recommended to use the official Photon Workshop slicing software, which supports exporting .pm4n format.

  • The model is not supported → automatically generate support with the software

The platform is not flat → re-level

Underexposure/overexposure → refer to the parameters recommended by the resin manufacturer.

  • Steps: Soak in 95% alcohol for 3 minutes (or ultrasonic cleaning machine)/gently brush the residual resin with a soft brush/second alcohol rinse and UV secondary curing.

  • 2 key tips: Place the large model at a 45° tilt to reduce stress/Replace the FEP film with a new one when the printer indicates that the FEP film has reached the end of its life.

I won't put you to sleep with too much jargon, here are the main reasons I like it:[EASY SETUP]It's as easy to set up as any bare bones resin printer. Tram the buildplate to the screen (the same thing you do with any resin printer, which is incorrectly called "leveling") and you're ready to print. After testing, resin exposure settings are almost identical to the Anycubic M5s Pro, you may even be able to knock off 0.2s of normal exposure time. So if you own that printer you'll have less settings that need twerking. It prints Cones of Calibration v3 perfectly, there is no Z-axis squishing.[LIGHTWEIGHT]The printer body and resin vat are made of plastic so it's a lightweight machine. The cover is tinted dark and feels like a big thin tupperware container, not the same as the sturdy M5s Pro cover for example. It can be disconcerting if coming from an all metal machine, but I haven't noticed any issues with the build quality. The aluminum buildplate has a cool etched design to improve grip on baselayers, and has ACF film installed to improve the release of normal layers. It's also feather-light, despite being slightly bigger than the one in the Elegoo Mars 3 it replaced.[QUIET OPERATION]I'm surprised that despite all the plastic this printer is one of the quietest I've used. Everything is taught and moves smoothly, giving the impression that it's going to work and everything is going to be okay. It's a huge difference compared to the previous Elegoo and AC printers I've used that always have some bit that rattles or grinds.[INTELLIGENT RELEASE IS AWESOME!]Basically this automatically adjusts the Lift Height on the fly, making sure the model detaches from the release film and then immediately lowers it again for the next layer. Depending on the model, this can save you a ton of time. It's not a bulletproof feature, sometimes it fails to detect the release force with viscous resins for example, but with some heating for those kind of resins it works as expected. As far as I know, Anycubic is the only company who adds this feature to their affordable range of printers. Other companies start adding it at like the $1000 mark. The printer also has some other new useful features found in current resin printers, like debris detection, tank clean, wifi, etc., but I don't use those. They can be turned off.I have some nags about the printer, but none of them are dealbreakers at the discounted prices.[EXTRA VATS ARE EXPENSIVE]The printer uses plastic resin vats but Anycubic charges $40 for them. Other companies charge that much for similar all metal ones. If you switch colors often, you absolutely need a few extras though. Also remember not to wrench down hard on the vat screws so you don't crack something.[USB PORT IS ON THE SIDE]This can make it tough to reach/plug the USB stick if you're using an enclosure. Consider a USB extender to move it to the front.[SCREEN PROTECTOR INCLUDED, BUT...]You don't have to use the included screen protector, personally I don't like them because there's always some obnoxious bubble or dirt that gets under there. There's no reason Anycubic themselves can't do this at the factory to save us the trouble. I suspect they know what a pain it is to install them cleanly so they don't want to bother with it.See, I'm just nagging now lolAlmost every Anycubic printer I've used over the last 5 years has been defective in some way. Customer service ranges from helpful to making up excuses that don't make sense for the defects. This time though, I'm relieved that the Photon Mono 4 is one of the best I've used, and sets the bar for all others in this size and price range. If you want tips or just want to chat, search for "Underground Junk Hole" and you'll find my resin 3D printing guides and settings.

I absolutely the love Anycubic printers. They print with tons of detail, and they have multiple supports to keep the shape of whatever you're printing.

Set up took about 30 minutes. Everything is well made. The vat is aluminum which is a nice upgrade. The detail in the test print file is ubelievably fine and crisp. Excellent printer.

The price was spot on. Was a gift for my son who wanted miniature 3d printed sirens. They cost more than this printer. After getting it setup(make sure you level plate and have it on a level surface) this thing has been nothing short of awesome to mess around with. First print was ugly. Every other print after that has been all but flawless. I LOVE THIS THING as a starter 3d printer. Never used one before of course. Software is easy to use easy to set up if you follow directions. I've almost plowed my first bottle of resin in a couple of days using this thing for HOURS. I came back today to order a couple more resin and figured i would write this review.I don't know what normal print speed are but my longest print so far has been 3 hours. I can live with that as the prints have been spot on. I just need to resist the temptation now to buy a more expensive larger version :D. For the price I don't know how you beat this printer....

Great printer. Easy to level the print table and gives nice quality prints. Would be good for a beginner. It doesn't print as nice or as quickly as my solus, but it is a 20th of the price.
