I have never played a musical instrument, but I needed one for our boy scout troop so I could wake them up with revelry in the morning during camping trips. I've watched several YouTube videos to learn how to play the bugle, but I still need more practice. With a little more practice, I'll be able to be decent. The horn looks very authentic with a nice brass finish and the cord is the finishing touch to be used as a civil war enactment. I like how it has a little chain holding the mouthpiece and preventing misplacement. For the price, I think I got a piece of history. If I don't use it, it can hang on a shelf for display.

This is a good beginner bugle. However, the mouthpiece isn't that great.

It’s cool for looks but besides that it can only play c and g it cannot play e, would not recommend this for beginners.
