You should were a sock and don’t strap to tight. My foot got swollen. But then it slides a little because I couldn't use a shoe with the brace. Overall it gives support.

Besides being shoe friendly, I also appreciate the cold-therapy option. I can easily sprain my ankles, or they'll just swell up if I over-exert them. The cold-therapy is very effective. It's a very comfortable brace!

I have to wear a cam boot to stand but need something when I'm laying here so the dog doesn't re-break my ankle. This does the job. It even fits over my lymphedema wraps. I was afraid it wouldn't fit after seeing some reviews and having swollen legs with wraps on them but this fits fine and the velcro closes with no issues. We did have to adjust it a bit but it fits fine after the first adjustment.

Well constructed and sturdy, medical grade materials. I tried it out, it fits well. I haven't used it during the periods when my ankle is in occasional pain, but I have no doubt that the support will help.
