Angelus Leather Dye Angelus leather dye is a permanent liquid dye used for changing the color of all smooth leather articles. These dyes are guaranteed to penetrate the leather, and form a lasting color which will not peel or crack or wash off. They are excellent for re-coloring shoes, saddles, belts, purses, and much more. We strongly recommend preparing the leather with Preparer Deglazer. (The Preparer-Deglazer should never be used on vinyl.) Leather Dye can be thinned with the color Neutral. This dye has stronger pigment than all leather dyes on the market. It will not take much to dye your leather.

Purchased this leather dye to change color of a belt from brown to black. Worked perfectly! Color still looks like day one after six months. Highly recommend!

I wanted my vintage Dooney & Bourke to be black as night, I'm very pleased with the results of one coat (half the bottle.) After a few days of drying I've noticed some residue on my hands, hoping that the clear finishing glaze will fix that.

Why didn’t I start dying my shoes sooner??? This product is awesome, I dyed some shoes that would’ve cost me over $70 to replace and I’m gonna get many more months out of them because they look brand new. This is so much better than and smarter than spending extra money just because of wear and tear. Other than than the outside of my shoes, which are suede, the interior was fine. So I use this to dye the exterior of the suede brushes em out with my finger nail brush that I have now dedicated as my shoebrush. Lol The finish is perfect, they look brand new. I am thrilled. If you’re thinking of doing this, I say go for it.

I used this after using Angelus de-glazer, in order to change the color of two pairs of new shoes from "cognac" (reddish-brown) to black. I did all the work outside because it contains glycol ether. It's best to do the work over a drop cloth because the dye is runny enough that the applicator will drip if it is jarred. I found that inserting the ball of the applicator only half-way into the dye gave me the best control. Also, I masked off parts of the shoe that I didn't want to dye, and used a cotton swab (eg, Q-Tip) on the edges of the area to be dyed. The dye immediately produced a deep black leather in a single coat. There was a slight unevenness in the appearance after dying, I think because of the natural texture of the leather, but that disappeared entirely after I had polished the shoes with black shoe-polish.The final result looked great. I got two new pairs of black shoes for a small fraction of what they would have cost if I'd bought them in black instead of cognac.

I think I dyed every bag and wallet that I owned 😂😂😂I got it to dye my Coach Rogue 25.I got it two years ago but I never wore it because I was not in love with the colour. It took me less than 25 min. For the whole bag, 2 removable straps and the 2 little charms. I used a flat makeup brush to go over all the stitches and small details arojnd the suede interior first. After that i went with the little fluffy tool that comes with the dye. Then I did another 2 purses, 2 wallets and a pair of ancle boots. It was so easy and I would never be able to tell that's not how they all came originaly. I thought I will go over a second time once everything was compleately dry the next day. I still have 1/3 of the bottle full. Once everything dried again I conditioned all the items with body lotion. 🤭 It worked. If there are any silver or gold foil embossings on the leather you need to wipe it with a soft towell right away after you aplly the dye. I waited on one of the bags till it-s dry and I couldn't remove it even with alcohol. So one Kate Spade embossing is compleately hidden... 🤷‍♀️Any ways, it worked exellent for me!

I had some old brown boots with badly stained uppers, and wanted to try salvaging them by dying them black. I cleaned the leather with strong alcohol, put on a couple coats of dye, and then a couple coats of black shoe polish after the dye dried. You'd never be able to tell the boots were stained, or that they'd ever not been black. I can't say anything about durability yet, but it's a strong dye, so I'd expect it to endure as long as I take care of the leather. It's kinda messy and stains everything it touches, so take precautions. Wear rubber gloves, clothes you don't care about, and work someplace where drips/spatters/spills won't be a problem. The included poofy dauber is good for smoother surfaces, but for some wrinkled and tight spots, I found it better to use a small paint brush.
