This device gave us the peace of mind needed for our little one has entered the “elopement phase” of her diagnosis. Just in case the eloping doesn’t slow down we are now able to track her in real time with alerts. It’s user friendly and our little one doesn’t even mind having it pinned securely to her. I definitely recommend to parents and families with children or elderly relatives that can get lost.

I love the fact that it does t need to be around wifi or other cell phones to work. The original annual fee was great, it is now getting pretty expensive.... $900 CAD roughly. It's still worth it in my opinion but it is getting expensive, luckily most Ontario ASD grants will cover it (SSAH, OAP, SOT Special needs grant, etc.

We have a disabled child and a few years ago we decided to buy a device to track his movements and a friend suggested AngelSense. What a great idea this was. This is a great GPS Cellular device that you can track and also one way/two way call. It can be helpful even for elderly people who have started to forget. The only downside to this is that you have to charge it every night. Expensive service but it’s very much worth it.Update from Oct 2024. The battery died after all these years and device was acting up. Bought a new one from Amazon and called AngelSense to activate it. It’s still worth the price for the service. Piece of mind if you have a special needs child.

My son is four years old, autistic, and elopes. Bought this so when he's at school or out with his grandparents, I can keep tabs of where he is incase he runs.Pros:-gps is accurate and updates quick.-has 1 and 2 way calling, so I can listen in if he pushes the sos button.-notifies me when he doesn't leave home on time for school or leaves early.-has different options for how to wear the device (belt, undershirt, bra, watch, etc)-app has option to make the device make an alarm sound incase he gets lost in a crowd.-app is able to send device location to first responders.-charges quicklyCons-device is bulky. It's obvious that my son is wearing it because he's so small and the device looks like a giant lump on his back.-accessories like the belt and undershirt cost quite a bit of money.-subscription is a little over $50 a month. And it's a contract.-does not use a universal charger/charger is unique to device.Overall, great product, but is pricey. A lot of families who could benefit from the product might not be able to afford it.

I have a special needs teenager and I just recently set this app even though I bought it a while ago due to the school bus company getting lost with my child and bullying So far this product is absolutely amazing and I may even buy more for my other children that aren't disabled so I can just track where they are just in case you never know however customer service is not helpful and annoying they don't stay on topic and harassmenting everyday with a phone call and email update they won't let me cancel after the free month they say it's attached to this contract when you buy this device.....do NOT buy

I got it in the mail and ended up spending 3 weeks with customer service just trying to get it to work. It never ended up working. I had to install a new SIM card and I drove hundreds of miles(for work) to try and get it to work and it never gained signal. I tried several time for customer service to send me a new one since the one I got was not working and they continued to tell me. “Reset it and drive around for 5 miles” it never worked! I again tried to do everything they said and still didn’t work. My free trial was about to end and I haven’t even had a trial of how it worked. The woman I spoke with said let me ask management if we can extend your trial since your having difficulty. Management said “you will be charged for next month and if it still doesn’t work than we will refund your money” I said ok whatever I need a new gps tracker since this one doesn’t work. They continuously said no you can’t have a new one just keep resetting and drive 5 miles around. Ok so finally I gained signal and than lost signal and they say ok reset it again and drive around again 5 miles. I’m am so frustrated that they don’t listen to the customer I spent all my time and my unpaid lunch breaks to try and fix it and I don’t even work for angel sense and I did more that them. They just made me drive around in circles. I finally sent it back. I have Life360 and it works well and it’s real time tracking and I never have an issue so I will never go back to angel sense again. I have no idea how it works because the company wouldn’t give me a working device. Oh yeah and the app sucks and freezes a lot and they kept telling me “log out completely and log back in” “erase the app, than reinstall and log back in” like why is this whole thing not working. So frustrating.

My son is fast and super quiet, he has snuck out of the house before. You're never really prepared to raise a child with autism you kind of learn as you go,nobody tells you elopement is a HUGE part of Autism....but sadly it is. I am not sure if there is a perfect word to describe Angel Sense but if I could hug the person that came up with this awesome idea I would!! The fear of letting anyone watch your child is scary, let alone a child with Autism that is nonverbal and has NO FEAR as well as a runner. I found Angle Sense by doing a google search of ways I could protect my son and keep up with him. (I honestly had no idea what I was looking for I was just typing stuff in the search bar when Angel Sense popped up.) it was almost too good to be true there was NO way this little device could do all this, but I was desperate, so I bought it. It arrived quickly and was packaged very nicely and super simple to use just plug it up to charge and download an app. The real issue for my son was how was I going to keep this on him. Angel Sense has some pretty cool ways of keeping the device secured to your child. It comes with a little pouch that is secured in place by 2 tacks that only you can undo with a special magnetic key. Unfortunately for me none of these ways worked for my son (he has huge sensory issues.) That is when we came up with “magic shoes”. I simply secure the device to his shoes he doesn’t mess with it and it’s not very noticeable on black shoes. I am sure every mom and dad on here wants to know what this cool little thing does! I can call the device from my cell phone and LISTEN to everything around my son, and nobody know!! My app tells me his EXACT location, it counts every step he takes and it even tells the speed of the car he is in when it's in motion. When he gets a little older, I can switch a setting and he can push the button and call me. You are given a few minutes each month to call the device per the plan you have, and you can buy extra minutes should you run out at any time. The first month I listen from the time I dropped my son off until the time he was back in my sight (yeah, I have HUGE trust issue). The app is user friendly and you can set alarms if your child is out of the area they are suppose to be in, it even tells you if the battery is not charging. On top of all this, the customer service is staffed by parents with children with special needs as well. If you need to call in for any issues you get the friendliest person on the other end that actually treats you like a person. They can relate to whatever kind of day your having because once they help you with your call they sometimes share stories with you and even give you words of encouragement. If you are debating on buying this idea trust me BUY IT!!! This by far is one of the best investments I have ever made. I have purchased 2 just in case one has issues ( which it never has).
