8mm Nylon braid cord worked perfectly. Used it to repair draw cords on levelor shades.

Lovely to work with for larger hole beads! It just glides and ties wonderfully.

It measures accurately at 0.6 mm, not 0.8 mm but I am using it for parachute shroud lines on an 18-inch octagonal model rocket recovery parachute. The line strength is ok. I bought ripstop nylon material to make my parachute. I hope the needle and thread on my machine can grab this smaller gauge of line. Otherwise satisfied with the purchase.

This is a very smooth, fine-gauge, lightweight black cord suitable for bead stringing or braiding into thicker lightweight cord for pendants. It makes a nice fine braid that evens its tension well after braiding with slight tugging. It is dark black with a slight sheen; the cut end itself is very clean, and also melts cleanly if heated to seal ends. A single strand can be used alone for light, small pendants, since it is surprisingly strong. It is also flexible, not stiff, and could be used like a heavy thread for finishing or edge-joining sections of light leather or canvas. Any shop doing period costume should keep spools of it for various durable hand-finishing uses.I recommend it!
