I have a heavy Canon lens with its own mount and an R5 with attached extended battery grip which I wrapped with an aluminum cage. The weight almost doubled now so I got worried about the stress on the camera and lens joint if I were to choose to mount this setup on the tripod from under the camera body or using the lens mount for more balance. Looked all over Amazon and I found this product. I used it today and not only I have peace of mind that the weight is evenly distributed between the lens and camera, it also balanced the whole setup on the tripod making it easier to take photos at different angles.

Makes using a tripod with a long heavy telephoto lens (without its own lens mount) much more stable and balanced, I found the weight of my lens used to cause a slow drop on composition on time-lapse or long shutter speeds, but this bracket totally solves that,It's well made, really clever design, and high quality,My only complaint is its slightly heavy, but I'm into landscapes and any extra weight in my pack is always considered a negative.Overall a great buy

Struttura solida ma gommini di supporto ridicoli che ho dovuto sostituire con due O ring da 20 centesimi pena la rigatura dell'ottica. La foto del supporto a meno che non montate la fotocamera con una BG è depistante : perché il tutto abbia una qualche utilità occorre smontare la staffa verticale di supporto ed invertirla così da creare un giusto scalino che altrimenti sarebbe eccessivo.Utile per ottiche da 200 300 mm sprovviste di staffa di supporto, per altre focali è inutile.Fate attenzione nell'acquisto perché nel caso di acquisto sbagliato il venditore, con almeno tre email di chiarimenti, accetta il reso ,dimostrando però con tanto di foto che ci siano dei difetti, con le spese a carico vostro e qui si tratta di rispedire il tutto in Cina con tanto di pacco raccomandato.....a buon intenditor....
