It works very good, Trimming my dogs has become so much easier, blades can be easily installed and removed, came with a nice protective case, extra blades are easy to find to purchase. Little Ziggy our Maltese / Pomeranian mix looks forward to his spa day ,He is more relaxed using these trimmer because I can adjust speed to a lower setting , He lays back and says.. ahh .. This is a good life ! Then when we are done, He jumps up and down and demands his treat for being a good Boy !

Went through 3 different clippers (cheaper) that wouldn’t do the job, then I googled best clippers for doodles and found these. Very good.

When i started grooming i was so excited to save money and buy this clipper. When i finally was able to afford it, the clipper was working great until it wasn’t… 2 months after the purchase the battery clipper died and it couldn’t charge anymore. Since my warranty was over i had to sell it for parts. Now 3 years later they have this version which you can detach the battery at least so i went ahead and bought and guess what… SAME thing happened, and this time within the month of purchase and when i asked for a replacement, at least a battery replacement (not the whole thing) they took their sweet time to send me return label and now they are saying my window for a return is over…. Wow .. it is a tricky way of getting that warranty money out of you. I at least have to only find a battery replacement this time cause this version allows it, but still to go all this trouble for a $300 clipper that you would expect TOP quality is insane, there’s other fantastic clippers in the market save your money, i honestly just wanted to give them another chance.

I like most everything about the clipper. Except the the clipper makes the blades run hot faster than any clipper I’ve had before. Doesn’t matter which brand of blade I use, they all run hot.

I bought one of the first zr2 on the market, it was glitchy like all of them but once we got to know eachother , we vibed well. 6 batteries and a charger later (I groom 7 days a week and 3 different locations on public trans my stuff takes a beating) a nasty fall shorted the switch, which is the glitchy part to begin with. 4 years of reliability though... the clipper was worth the $699 it cost originally. I used to blow through a corded clipper a year to the tune of 300+. It was no question which clipper I was replacing it with while the switch gets replaced on my old one. This one is all the reliability of the old one with no glitches. So you CAN improve perfection.

This has got good power but heavy on the wrist i especially if your a professional groomer using it all day !

I was hesitant to spend so much on clippers for the dog but these work so well and cut down his haircut time by a third probably! We couldn’t figure out how to put the guards on at first but contacted the company and they sent a video explaining how to do so. They eventually start to get clogged with hair so every so often I have to remove the guard and unclog it. Hopefully they last a long time.
