The guitars have little straws pre-inserted into the valves, forcing them to stay open, which causes them to deflate before you can close the valve. I figured out if I pinch it hard while closing it, that helps. But I shouldn’t have to do that. Only reason I didn’t return is that I need them for a party this weekend and don’t have time to order elsewhere.

The manufacturer used a cheap/defective inflation valve. For decades, these valves would inflate and require pressure around the outside to deflate. The ones found on these air guitars are free flowing in both directions. By the time one can plug the valve, it has already deflated half to all of the air.I got 2 out of the 6 to hold an acceptable level of inflation, which is the only reason this hasn't been returned.

I recently got an inflatable guitar for a party, and it was a huge hit! It’s lightweight, durable, and surprisingly easy to use. The guitar has a fun, oversized design that makes it perfect for photo ops and party games. I loved how it was easy to inflate and felt sturdy enough to withstand hours of playful rocking out without deflating.

These have terrible valves, and half the air shoots out before you can seal them. On top of that, half of them would not stay sealed anyway, and the valve would pop back open. Every one of them had a little straw in the valve, perhaps to aid in inflation? But I think those straws damaged the sealing quality of the valve.
