Gasket does not fit Champion 4149a. It has a different form and will not seat completely into the toilet hole.

The only reason I purchased this is because of the two white (wrenches?) it shows attached to the nuts. This would allow you to sit on the seat and tighten both sides at once. Only one is included, and it's not attached. Also there are no instructions.

If you need this kit, buy this real one and not a knockoff that might be a few dollars cheaper. Put a bucket under one side and remove that bolt to let the tank fully drain. Use the white tube provided as a socket wrench to hold the nut on the underside while loosening the screw from inside the tank.With this kit you only need a screwdriver, and a small bucket to catch water. With knockoff kits you'll also need a ratchet and extender and socket the right size.

It’s a good product. The problem is you need your specific make and model for American Standard parts. American Standard makes MANY various parts for their toilets. Very hard to get their parts from after market sources that fit your need. They virtually make it so you have to call American Standard direct to get your parts.

Had a slow leak from the tank to the bowl as the old in tank seal on the flush value had failed. When your replacing the flush value, replace the tank seals. Don't cheap out and try to re-use the old ones as your just asking for more leaks later on.

The repair kit was made for the American Standard toilet. I hired a plumber to repair a leak. He used generic bolt and grommet to stop the leak - the leak continued. I repaired the leak with American Standard repair kit and the leak stopped.

I ordered this hoping that the green gasket pictured was the same as the original green gasket in 738756-0070A. It is identical including the nut imprint. See attached photo. The only difference between what is picture on amazon and what I received is the nylon tool - 2 shown, but only 1 included in my kit. A second tool seems redundant anyway.
