Your cart is empty.The blue plastic potato (fruit) clock has two compartments designed to hold potatoes or fruit. Two coils, one red and one blue, are inserted into a different potato while the green coiled wire is connected to both potatoes. The clock will demonstrate the principles of an electrochemical cell. The LED clock runs on 2 potatoes, oranges, grapefruits, lemons or cans of soda pop. Potatoes not included. Measures 8-1/2" length by 3-1/2" width by 2-3/4" height.

Worked as expected. Didn't really work initially, but I left it overnight and it's been running for a few weeks now. Kids got a kick out of it. Didn't replace the rods or wire or anything. Very cool!

I bought this item last year and it did not work very well. The clock/number display faded in and out. It was not reliable.Thinking that is was just this one clock, I ordered another one. Same problem with the electronic display. Although this time, the display does not work at all. I like the design and blue color of this clock, but it is not reliable compared to other models that I've purchased for my science classes. Big disappointment!!!

This is for a Christmas gift. Not sure yet about how it will work. What I am disappointed in, is that it's in a plain white box. No picture on it or even a word as to what it is. I'm having to print a photo to tape to the box. And, tape a description of what's in the box.

A great little kit for educational purposes. There are plenty of potato clock kits out there but this one has the clock built into a dual potato tray. Your child is likely going to want to walk around and show off their handy work and this makes it a lot easier to carry.

I purchased this unit for my daughter and out of the box it works great (provided you have two taters around).This is the definition of plug and play. A wonderful way for kids and adults to marvel at the power of simply battery design.The blue color made it a bit more fun than my black one i had as a kid. $15 winner in our household.

This was perfect for my son's science fair! It was very easy to work with and it came with easy instructions and other information that was very helpful. The potato clock along with some added poster boards and charts turned out to be a success as a science project. This product was fun and it did the job in showing another way that electricity can work as a source of power and/or energy.
