Underclocked with curve optimizer. CPU boots at 5.6 GHz without going over 65°C on load. Not the best for gaming, but the 9800x3D was scalped to hell and back at the time of purchase. Love it so far, plus its nice not having my PC double as a space heater.

The moment I opened, I saw it was fake. It came dirty from thermal paste as well. The box it is from 9000 series, but the content was a processor for 5000 or below due to the different lid and the pins under the CPU. Very disappointed. I return the product in the same day it arrived and ask my money back.

The Ryzen 7 9700X is an absolute beast. I'm incredibly impressed with its performance. It handles everything I throw at it, from demanding games to heavy multitasking. It stays cool even under intense workloads, which is a huge plus. I'm incredibly happy with this processor and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and reliable CPU.

Amazing at 65W. Outstanding for 2k gaming. Great in the minisforum MS-A1. Great single core performance. Runs cool. Sips power.

I finally upgraded my i7-6700 and I can't even believe it. This CPU makes gaming, daily tasks, any kind of computing a breeze. Waiting too long for Steam, Epic Games, Excel, or anything to load then upgrade to this chip. Programs and games open up in a second or two. I am the one waiting in lobbies now while their CPUs load the game. I used to think it was normal that Steam and Epic Games took 15seconds to load. Stop waiting. The AM5 and DDR5 are worth it.

The Ryzen 7 9700X has been a good upgrade for my PC. This 8-core, 16-thread processor delivers a balance of gaming performance and productivity. I can run most games at a consistent 150 FPS. Whether I’m playing graphically intense AAA titles or editing video, everything runs smooth as silk. One of the standout features is its low TDP, which makes it incredibly easy to cool. Even during extended gaming sessions, the temps stay well under 85°C with a standard air cooler. No need for an elaborate cooling setup—it’s efficient and reliable right out of the box.The unlocked design also offers room for tweaking, and I’ve had no issues with stability during overclocking. It’s perfect for gaming, streaming, and even productivity tasks like video editing. If you’re looking for a processor that balances power, efficiency, and value, the Ryzen 7 9700X is an good choice. I couldn’t be happier with its performance

I got the 9700X thinking I would eventually replace it. (I wanted a 9900X, but it was out of stock.) Not so sure now I will ever replace it. It's very stable under stress. It's a nice CPU.

By far the best thing about the Ryzen 7 9700X is just how incredibly cool it runs, especially compared to the 7000-series. It truly doesn't need anything besides a simple air cooler for incredibly stable performance right out of the box. Considering that Intel's apparently been having serious overheating and stability issues with its most recent processors, AMD is the way to go right now for gaming and productivity. Can you do better for gaming? Well, yes, because the Ryzen 7 9800X3D exists if you absolutely must have the best regardless of cost. But the latter is overkill for the moment -- you can get extremely high frame rates on even the most demanding titles with the 9700X with no issue.Highly recommended as an overall awesome CPU. I'm very pleased I went with this particular model for my new rig.

Not going to write on the technical aspects of the CPU (there are plenty of videos and articles available for that). I will simply note that I popped this into my b650 mobo and after some bios updates and a windows 11 update, everything is stable and performance is what I expect. Know what you can expect from this chip , and it won't let you down (at least as of the time of this writing). Oh! With the low power consumption, the temp is super easy to control (let's my have a pretty quiet fan curve).
