Cellular service for Bell Virgin+ in the rural areas of Georgina in York Region is fringe for voice and maybe data outside of the commuter rush hours along the Highway 48 corridor. Same on Lake Simcoe when out on the boatThis cellular booster is installed on my boat for use when not driving. The directional external antenna is aimed at the best signal as reported by the OpenSignal app as recommended I the excellent documentation. The small indoor antenna is mount under the dashboard behind the smart phone holder. The results are awesome, wether parked in storage on the farm in Georgina, or.anywhere on Lake Simcoe. Consistent boost from -112 dbm to -85 dbm (data is enabled at -99 dbm to the best reading achieved of –50 dbm with Google Pixel4a on Bell's Virgin+ cellular service.I am very pleased with the results from this booster. With experimenting with antenna placement, the outdoor antenna was best clamped to the mounting light pole on the rear as high as possible. The internal mounted as shielded and isolated from the outdoor as possible to get the most boost.Very good cellular booster.

I honestly can't review it. I should have done more research into it before getting it as it REQUIRES RESISTERING with your local cell service! For reasons I'm not getting into, I'm not doing this and therefore this unit is basically useless to me, unfortunately as it would have been very convenient to have installed. As an alternative, I've got a mesh WiFi network setup instead and my cell and any other device that would normally be trying to use the cell network has been setup to use the WiFi instead.I don't want to bring the overall average of ratings down for this unit but really can't give it more than 3 stars without properly being able to install and test it out... :(

Works amazing, we had no signal and after installing it was almost a full signal.

My favorite so far. It just works. Between my mesh network and this unit I am not at a lack for signal of any type. This not only raises your reception but increases data throughput. Many units will show you more signal. Your phone may even ring when it should. But they don't increase data throughput meaningfully. This unit does. You can get full speed transfers under the right conditions. I have a southern exposure that faces the closest cell tower. I have a flower planter built in there. I can place it in that or up above on the roof and either way I get the missing signal that the hills and the trees as well as a large elementary school across the street, block. This translated to my 4G LTE hotspots all getting increased bandwidth! Amazing. Simply awesome. This is needed due to the sheer volume of solid objects blocking signal here, and is why it works so well here. If you have a clear sightline toward the cell tower closest to you, and can place this in a position to receive it, you get incredible results. 5 stars.

We live in the country and we needed a signal boost but we could not notice a difference with this unit. We still only had a couple bars on our phones.

I was hesitant to try the booster because of the installation. It was sooooo worth it. There are no more dropped calls and my wife can do her job without having to go outside to get a signal. This worked very well for me.

For RV travel the most important thing is getting a tall pole for the outdoor antenna. Most antenna mast are heavy, bulky, expensive, and cumbersome to setup. Fortunately, Unger sells a telescopic pole ($43 for 18', or $57 for 24') at Home Depot near the brooms. We are easily able to attach it to our RV awning attachments with a couple of Velcro straps (see pics). It currently gives us the height to increase one bar of LTE to 3 bars of 5G. Nice!I tried two other boosters but preferred this one. I think it is important to have a directional antenna for better reception, more bands (carriers use multiple bands), and a display that shows gain and signal strength in each band. This display will let you know if there is not enough separation between your indoor and outdoor antenna for good gain in each band. It is important to place your indoor antenna in a dead zone of your outdoor antenna.

Directions for the nearest cell tower was not working for me so maybe pilot error. I did experiment until I found the best signal and from there went from 1 bar to 3 bars in the living room. Distance drops as you move further from signal booster. The fact that I don’t have to move around the house now asking if I can be heard is a huge relief so for that reason alone I like the product

Purchased this product specifically for band 66 which is listed as one of the covered frequencies. After plugging it in, I noticed there wasn't really any change, and as you can see listed on the back the 66 band is not even listed.

We'd had next to no signal at our remote cottage forever, but this signal booster has really been a gamechanger, going from no signal at all for some of us to enough of a signal to send and receive messages and even conduct phonecalls albeit sketchily at times. I am sure that in less remote areas this booster will take a usually weak (1 to 2 bar) signal to something much stronger, so from my experience I can certainly recommend it.

I have Google Fi and I got this to use at my work as my whole building has pretty much become a dead zone. I work by myself and like to listen to music or podcasts while I'm working. The last year or so my cell coverage at work has become almost non-existent, which has made work a lot less enjoyable. I got this because of the good reviews and the claim of boosting signal up to 5,000 sq ft.Installation wasn't too bad and if this is for your house it will be very easy. The hardest part is figuring out where to point the external antenna. Thankfully the instructions tell you exactly how to figure what tower you should be pointing at. For me it wasn't the closest one, which I found pretty interesting. This does come with one long run of cable, plus a shorter extension cable as well. I ended up needing to use the extension cable, so I was very glad it was included. I did find the cables a little hard to work with/route because they were quite twisted from shipping. Once the external antenna is mounted you just connect it to the indoor one, plug that one in and it does its thing. My signal did improve, drastically, in the room I have the internal antenna, which is roughly 10 x 13 ft. Now, granted the walls are made out of cement blocks, but the signal definitely drops off and the area it does is way smaller than 5k sq ft. My reception has fluctuated some since first installing this. Initially, as soon as I left my office (internal antenna) I would lose signal. That has gotten better, for the most part, and it's possible it could be weather or something else affecting it. But, I do still have a dead zone in a hallway about15-20ft away from my office. But it does seem to typically help in areas around that hallway, so I'm not sure what's going on.So, yes this has helped boost signal at my work. My office went from 1-0 bars to full bars and I can actually have a phone call in there now. The overall area boosted by this is definitely smaller than 5k sq ft, but the room the internal antenna is in is made up of cement block walls. So, I don't know if their claim is an exaggeration or not. I imagine if your house isn't made of bricks you'll probably see even better improvement. If you are dealing with dead zones, I think this is a good product that does boost.

I went from 2 bars inside my trailer to a solid full bars, install took about 1.5 hours and its made a WORLD of difference. I build a fishing shack and the walls and roof are tin, its like a faraday box and we get 1-2 bars inside, hardly enough to load a web page or a song on youtube. Now, we can watch shows/netflix/youtube from inside our fishing shack and it works awesome, we use these wireless headphones and each take 1 so we dont disturb the fish and it works great, havent had any buffer or lag issues. It was compatible with my provider (Rogers) and with his as well (Telus).Quality is solid in this thing, you do have the separate the outside antenna, inside antenna and booster by a minimum length which took a while to do but once we got it working, I screwed it in and have left it ever since. The little smart LCD display is pretty cool as it changes live with the data.Full bars in app parts of the trailer. (Its 25ft long, 7ft wide).Have recommended it to my other buddies with trailers and would order again if this one stopped working

Works with Bell. I ordered this to boost signal in areas of the house that keep dropping. I had access to several towers to choose from, with very good signal strength. My issue was not low signal, but how my house is constructed. Mounted this on the side of house, 2nd story, with the 2nd antenna 2 floors down. I did have to drill several holes for the cable to be able to reach. It has definitely made a difference and I now have increased signal where I wanted it. I did have help setting it up, and tested signals before screwing things down and drilling holes. I like that it has visible display. The recommended app works well and I've left it installed to monitor my wifi too.
