I just finished installing both spindles on my John Deere Z225.No problems with the actual replacement but they are NOT OEM obviously. The nut that holds the blades on is smaller then OEM.They supply the nuts but they are the wrong thread pitch. You will need to make a parts run. You need 12mm with 1.25 ultra fine threads,The shaft is a smaller then OEM.As others have noted the grease zerk is hard to access because of the pully so the grease gun hose and tip will not work because of that problem.Overall they do work as they should. Since I just installed them I have no idea of their longevity. For the price difference I am willing to take a chance on these lasting.

I can not believe how poorly made this item is compared to the OEM part. I can deal with the deck bolts being installed upside down, without nuts, connected directly through deck. However the nut to hold the blade on is a different size from the OEM, and they don’t provide one to use. Might be half the price of the OEM, it it’s not the same. I’m returning this junk.

My John Deere X304 had about 500 hours on it when the original spindles wore out. I replaced them with these spindles in 2021. Perfect fit. I now have about 625 hours and no issues.

Parts fit and worked well on my c300 John Deere. The only thing was they need to supply the blade nut and washer do to the fact that they are different size than original John Deere factory. I was able to get both the nuts m12x1.25 and washer at lowes for about $4.00

Decided to replace both spindles. 42 inch mower deck on a John Deere X300. And I used an impact wrench to remove all old bolts. Parts came with new bolts. Extremely pleased with the result. Decided to start mowing again after a couple of years of out sourcing.Installation was relatively easy and everything fit as intended. I highly recommend this product.

Purchased a used J.D. Z225 mower with a deck in need of repair. The spindles needed to be replaced. These are listed as being correct replacements with photos indicating they would include new spindle nuts. I received them quickly and they do fit my deck, but I am giving three stars for these reasons. They did not include a new top spindle nut as shown in all the photos, so this is misleading. I see some users needed to buy new nuts for these or the blade shaft as the threads were different from the factory nuts. I was able to used the originals. The other big issue was the grease fitting location. It is much closer to the deck than original, making it more difficult to reach, especially if you install spindle supports as I did. The solution was to purchase additional M6 - 45 degrees fittings so I could position them at a better access angle. Since these are new, I cannot speak on the longevity, but expect them to last. Another thing that was odd to me is while the spindle threads are metric, the base threads are standard 5/16" x 18. Bolts are included for these. All this said, I would recommend as long as you understand the differences from a factory spindle as these are more cost effective.
