This stuff is awesome! I used acetylene today , with a small tip, and did not prep the aluminum at all. It was relatively clean. I made a 1/4 overlap, and used this rod just like brazing. It made 100% penetration, and a tidy weld.

I used a standard propane torch to braze the legs back onto a smokeless firepit that had broken from their spotwelds during shipping or at least some time before I received it. One end of three of the four legs had broken loose. While the propane heat caused burn marks on the unit, the welds were made secure and the feet now work well. The marks left by heating the body of the firepit were easily brushed out with 0000 steel wool. In retrospect, I could have prevented the heat discoloration by shielding the This product works very well for the use I intended. I recommend it for any use for which it was designed.

Took a ridiculous amount of heat. Beads and dries into a white chalky mess. With or without flux, the only thing it sticks to is itself. Does not work with propane took wayy too long to work with mapp gas. Tried on an engine casing, an alluminum sheet and on a piece of billet. This does not work.

Hard to use and I didn't really expect anything great considering the price , good in a pinch but I would recommend spending a little more and getting higher quality

I tried everything to get these to work. Heated up my material using mapp gas to about a bazillion degrees and this stuff still wouldn’t melt. Tried to melt it directly with the flame and it just balls up. Watched a bunch of videos and couldn’t get it.Very possibly user error, but I feel like I’m a fairly capable dude and do a good amount of research and still had exactly 0 luck

The product really didn't flow well with aluminum. It looked more like bird droppings

Used these to braze a broken aluminum lawnmower part back together. Had a hard time getting the part hot enough for the rod to melt and flow. The part was fairly thin and was dissipating heat quickly. Once I finally got the rod to flow, adhesion was great.
