The pillow is better than nothing, but it doesn't pack down very small and the stuffing is extremely soft so dont expect much for support.

Good price. Lightweight. Comfortable when I folded it in half. Takes up a bit of space but I felt it was necessary for the importance of sleep comfort on a canoe-camping trip.

I brought it with me on my first wild camping trip and I'm glad I did. It took up as much space in my bag as the sleeping bag or the inflatable mattress but it was a nice thing to have. It's big enough for a camping pillow and quite comfy. I'll be using it again and recommend it over an inflatable pillow!

Good Pillow - Might be too big for backpacking or travel? For many I know it is, for me, that's exactly why I bought 3. It's as close to a "home" quality pillow as you'll find in a camp fit durable washable, but still soft enough to use finish.

This pillow is PERFECT for someone who cannot sleep without a pillow, but may not have the room to carry a full size pillow. I must say I slept great with it while backpacking. It comes in a nifty little stuff sack and compresses quite small. Great for travel. I also used it on the plane. I worried it might be too small, but I was just fine even with the smaller sized one.

I own other alps products that I would rate 5 stars but this is not one of them !other camp pillows we own are Nemo and REI and thermarestall have pros and cons and our family tends to like certain ones myself its the nemo fillo hands down best camp pillow for meso why one star !lumpy !!!!! OK insane lumpy not just kinda lumpy my 10 year old said it best "its like its been chopped in half"stuff sack ? OK why not make it like all other camp pillows and integrate the stuff sack !quality of nylon is just that feels like really cheap nasty nylon not nicer stuff like the other brandsIMHO stay away get a nemo fillo combo of inflated and paddedor the thermarest to thick for me but its a good thick pillow been debating about buying one and taking out half the stuffing :)I am not a fan of inflate only pillows cause your head feels to rolly on them if rolly is a word :) ahhaahhaah but again pillows are personal on comfort but with this being so lumpy and cheap feeling and bad design it cant even be considered IMHO

I purchased two of these (smaller size) for a trip to Alaska where we would be staying in a bunkhouse and needed extra little pillows for the kids to sleep on. These packed down into small packing bags (provided with pillow) and still were soft and lofty when taken out of the bag to use. These are small pillows but are great for using in the car or for camping. They are easy to pack, fairly small and still very comfortable.

Large is a little big for a back back (I have it for the auto), the other sizes will fit in a pack (the smaller the easier to carry, but the less comfortable -- but given I was using rolled up cloths before I bought it...).Seems well made, light, fairly compressible... worth trying out -- but it's going to take some space in your pack.

So, first things first: this is a backpacking pillow. It's made to be ultra compactable and lightweight. It's not a luxury pillow for day campers who trek 50 feet from the car to the tent. That being said, it does what it's supposed to. Gives a little extra cushion on top of a sleeping pad and compacts small enough to fit in my Teton Scout 3400 along with my other gear. It's not the fluffiest pillow around, but it's enough to keep my neck from getting sore overnight, which is all I can really ask of a camp pillow. I have the smaller version, the 10x20, but given how small this thing rolls up, I imagine I probably could have gone with the larger one instead. This, however, will come in handy on longer trips where space is more limited in the pack.

I paired this with the Texsport fleece sleeping bag, and Stansport Redwood ultralight sleeping bag 55-degree. I am in california, so I'm not sure how well it would work in extreme conditions, but this is PERFECT, the 3 of these I mentioned.... You can fit all 3 into the Coleman compression sack, and layer your sleeping gear like you do with clothing. Sometimes use 1 as a blanket, or an additional pad, whatever the conditions call for. you can pack this little guy TIGHT, and its a nice addition to a pile of clothes :)

Nothing super fancy here. I went with the larger one, and it does compress well, not super lofty. Like another reviewer wrote, as expected, a compressable camping pillow that is fairly soft. Not a ton of support, but it rolls up nicely, fabric is nice. Comes with stuffsack, a big plus. You want ultimate pillow support, don't go camping or buy real pillow and let it get ruined. I have several APLS M. products now, and they are all very functional. Higher quality than most Chinese junk. The price point is fair.
