My teenage daughter has only worn these to indoor practice so I can’t speak as to how well they hold up.But as far as fit, she was very pleased. She is a petite thing and cannot fit in any women’s sizes. She’s 5’1” and about 90 pounds and a child’s large fit her well.

Bought this brand in several sizes to fit my 4th grader. She’s usually a L/XL but they were both too small. They wouldn’t even go around her legs. Feels like these have no stretch. Color is great, but the sizing guide is grossly off.

Great fit for your younger child. This brand fits them best. My 7 year old wears a size Medium comfortably and a Large to have a little room to grow.

Like a lot of reviews say, these pants do run a little small. I have a 7 year old daughter who is 56 inches tall and 43 lbs, and we have the hardest time finding softball pants to fit her. She has several pair of these in a size small. They are still slightly big in the waste but they fit perfect with her belt. The length is perfect as well.
