I have four cats and an allergic grandson who loves cats! I’m so happy to report that he can now be around the cats! There is no smell and the kitties come out soft and fluffy- no negative effects. I use this with the cat cleaning mitts from Amazon. Also the environmental allergen spray. Very happy with the results.

Ok so I wanted a kitten knowing my husband was terribly allergic. He let me get it because he loves me and only because he loves me. My plan was to do everything possible to get rid of the cat allergen. I bought a Hepa Air purifier from Coscto (tall), give kitten a weekly bath, and purchased this product. My plan was to use this product about 2 times a week in addition to the kitten baths. I read several different products and reviews and this product seemed best for what I needed. The first 3 weeks of me having the kitten I kept the air purifier running 24/7 and I gave the kitten weekly baths. My husband would still have itchy burning eyes. Then finally my order of Allerpet for cats arrived. I use the Le Salon Essentials Triple Finger Massage Brush to brush on the Allerget pet. The instructions say to use a wash cloth to rub it on but that is just a complete waste of product. What works is pour Allerget pet in a small bowl and dip the brush in the liquid or just squirt the liquid on the brush. Brush Allerget pet all over the cat. I do it head to toe (excluding eyes, ears, nose and under the paws). I get my cat pretty much completely wet. Not dripping but the fur needs to be wet. It does dry pretty fast (I have a Snow Shoe Chocolate Siamese). Anyway, it worked perfectly and my husband has not had any allergy issues. I even stopped giving baths and just use this 2-3 days a week. PERFECT. Now I will still do baths maybe once every 3-4 weeks so that the cat continues to be used to being totally wet however I will only be doing it so the cat is comfy with baths not to help rid of the allergen issue. Even though I use this product a couple times a week and get my cat wet with it, I still have a pretty full bottle. I’m not saying this Allerpet works 100% as I am still running the Hepa Air purifier 24/7 but with giving my cat a bath once a week and not using Allerpet my husband had issues. Now I’m not bathing and only using Allerpet (with the air purifier) and my husband has had ZERO ALLERGY OUTBREAKS! This product worked for me and my family to the point that we are getting another kitten in 3 months because there are no allergy issues

I'm writing this review mainly to help you cat allergy sufferers find a way to live peacefully with your kitty! I have a 6 year old son that really, really wanted a cat as a pet. He has asthma and is extremely allergic to cats, and most animals. It broke my heart that he could never have a pet, so we decided to take a chance.First off, we chose a "hypoallergenic cat", a Russian Siberian, but he was still allergic... Imagine that. Desperately, I searched high and low, reading everything I could to find a solution to our "dander" problem. Allerpet-C was the third product I purchased. When used every other day, or every three days, my son has absolutely no reaction at all! (Which is SO GREAT) But I also do several other things: I take the kitten for a bath every 3 weeks at the vet. In the off weeks, I use " Tropiclean Dander Reducing Waterless Grooming Foam Cat Shampoo", which smells amazing too. I try to brush the kitten every night, which removes access fur. I then give him a quick wipe with some generic dander wipes to wipe off access dander. I use the Allerpet-C every 2-3 nights. I give the kitten a treat after every "torture", which he doesn't seem to mind at all. IT DOESN'T STOP THERE! In addition to grooming the cat, I also keep my house clean. Mind you, I have a large 4 bedroom house, so it's a lot to clean and most of the downstairs is tile. Keep the allergic person's door closed, so that the cat cannot enter into it at any time. This provides a relief to the allergic person every night. I vacuum the carpet/rugs every time I use Allerpet-C, that helps me remember how often I should do it (every 2-3 days). I take the can of Lysol and spray the couches and furniture. Might as well go ahead and spray the fridge, toilets and door handles, right? Then I get the Febreeze air effects Allergen Reducer and go to town. I spray everything from the couch again, to the rugs, all up and down the stairs, everywhere the cat has been. Most of the time I spray the "Marshall Dander Free Remedy" at the same time I spray the Febreeze- one in each hand so I make SURE to kill whatever dander I can find. Don't forget to change the litter every 2-3 days too. I mop the tile floors weekly. Also close off the bathtubs/showers if you can, that dander sticks to the moisture and drives my little guy's allergies crazy. It's worse there for some reason.Yes, it's a lot of work, but cat allergies are very difficult to deal with. It's worth it to have a little kitty running around the house and to hear my son tell me "it's so nice to have a kitty, I love him". Good luck!
