I have yet to field test it but I was pleasantly surprised that the camo pattern is max-5, not Max-4 as the description states (at the time of writing). There was no strong chemical smell as others have reported in previous reviews. Overall, it seems to be good quality as long as the stitching holds and the belt doesn't loosen while wearing. Allen seems to makes decent stuff for the price.

I purchased this belt for my boyfriend; he's a big waterfowl hunter, along with other types of hunting. The belt fit perfect, it was adjustable enough for a thin man to a husky man. He also liked that he didn't run into the problem of shells falling out, nor did they fit too tightly in the belt. This belt is made if nice material and seems durable so far. For the price, this is definitely a great product!

I really liked this shell holder, it surpassed my expectations for fit and quality. Purchased this holder to accompany my new Allen brand waders that have two D rings on the front chest for attachments. This pouch hooked on perfectly and matched great. I debated between this holder and the belt model and I'm glad I went this route. Material is very good quality, it holds shells firm and the inside compartment is a nice bonus. I used the pocket for my licenses and I'm not sure if it's meant to be waterproof but I got completely wet and my documents were still dry as a bone. Has accompanied me on 3 long days in the water and mud with no complaints. Would buy again.

Used this on just on outing so far. Loved the placement of 12 shells up front for me, did not like that the second twelve were on the back side of the carrier, you have to unclip and turn it, which was not so bad unless you are on your 12th shell and a bird is in the air. I like this carrier over a belt in that the shells are higher up and in front.Holds 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells tightly, did not take 3 1/2 with me, but the fit in it well at home. Did not loose any shells out of the sleeves. Did have one of the seams between the sleeves break a bit, did not have enough tacking. Not really that big of a deal to me since its easy to fix with a bit of thread, but should not have to be done.Things you might note. Depending upon your other gear, pockets on your jacket or waders might get obstructed (I have a Cabela jacket and waders and both had d rings or clips, but on the jacket it made the pockets hard to use.) Also, i did not find it easy to put spent shells into the sleeves, but I opened up the zipper compartment a little bit and stuffed them there. No one wants to see spent shells lying around and I reload, so a place to keep spents is almost as important and a place for loaded shells.

This belt is better than most of what the major sporting good stores have to offer and especially for the price. I really like it and it works great for going skeet shooting. I also used it for dove hunting and preferred it over bulkier shell bags. The only downside for hunting is if your burning through a lot of shells it may be a little inconvenient constantly keeping the belt full.

I was tired of shells in my vest pocket this belt eliminates that and I can barley even tell it's around my waist. Shell go into sleeves easily and are held in place well til time to use them. Great product ......did arrive one day late but wasn't that big of a deal Thanks

Got this one for duck hunting, it is a bit too thick however it keeps me warm :) so i don't mind it much, though it hides the shells very nicely and securely. I'm using a range of shells from 2 3/4 to 3 1/2, all fit in well. The belt is very well built, it is designed to last.

I have used this belt most of the season with no issues and no shells have fallen out. I shoot 12 gauge 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2". I suppose one thing that would make it better is if it had a 3G connection or Bluetooth so it could send a text to my phone or a message over bluetooth headphones and tell me when I am running low on shells while I am in hot pursuit of some game. Then again my gun doesn't have bluetooth so it would probably all be a waste of time, and the more I think about it I don't want to receive "you have 6 shells left, you have 3 shells left, you are sh!t out of luck you have no shells left" texts all night when I am trying to sleep
