Great size for 2 people. But whoever designed the lid should be fired. It is impossible to remove so i just dont use it. When i first got this pan, it took me a few days of prying to get the lid off. It forms so e kind of vacuum and is impossible to get off.

The square 8x8 baker fits perfectly in my new countertop toaster oven and matches all the other All-Clad pans I own for use in a regular sized oven. I've tried this once and it baked food as expected then cleaned easily in the dishwasher.

Absolutely love this tray. The lid closes tightly (not airtight (probably), but good as a cover in the fridge). Sturdy and weighty material with purposeful handles that go straight up to minimise oven space needed. Used it for baking a small salmon en croute to good effect.

I had bought the lasagna dish previously and loved it, so bought this smaller one too. They are so sturdy and excellent to bake with - I wish there were more sizes! Well worth the price - definitely recommend!

Love this pan! Lasagna, brownies, cobbler, pot pie, small roast etc. etc., anything you can think of, it will bake it to perfection! Perfect size for two people meals, and it looks lovely sitting on the table. This pan is worth the price!

All-clad products are always “reassuringly expensive” and this small roasting tin / lasagne tin with a plastic lid is no exception. As is often the case, you wonder how the price is justified until you handle and use the item! Immediately on unpacking you’re struck by its weight and sturdiness. The spacey, easily gripped handles are clearly designed with real cooks and cooking scenarios in mind. This is just steel rather than tri-ply ( with a layer of aluminium sandwiched between two layers of steel ) or d5 ( two aluminium layers between steel x3 ) or copper core etc, but even so it’s a quality item that’ll serve for years as a constantly used ‘workhorse’ item. Some reviewers have found the plastic lid awkward. It did take me a moment to get used to it but it’s a doddle and it clips securely and opens easily. The lid is not heat proof so can’t be used either in the oven or placed on the pan while it’s hot. Nevertheless I’m delighted with it. It’s size ( 8” / c.20cm square ) is actually very useful for everything from lasagnes and pies to hot deserts, brownies and granola bars etc. Expensive? Yes - but cheap kitchenware is a classic false economy. It’ll give you a lifetime of quality service in the kitchen. A definite thumbs up from me.

I gave this to my son and he baked cornbread in it that sagged in the middle. He said that happens with his nonstick pans if he doesn’t adjust the temp and time.... so he will do that in the future. Lifting baked goods from it is easily done...cleaning is a snap.

I was looking for a small roasting pan and settled on this 8 inch square baker. The metal is substantial, very much like my large All Clad roasting pan. Just need to add a small rack and I can use it for small or half chicken, fish, veges, even a small roast. Nice. The handles are great for easy lifting, and the plastic lid is a nice feature for tossing leftovers into the fridge. I am very happy with this pan and recommend it for roasting and baking. It is made in China, not US, but the quality is still good.

Love this pan, and also its bigger sibling the lasagna pan. As always, a brilliant All-Clad finish that washes up clean and new-looking no matter how much of a mess you made with your cooking (if anything's baked on, just let it soak a little in mild soapy water; if it's on the outside, soak inside a larger pan or tub). Lighter than some of All-Clad's pans, but still heavy enough that it cooks through easily while minimizing burning. Great to have the top. And, despite what reviewers say, the top DOES come off and go on easily, at least if you read the instructions the come with the pan. There are 2 small embossed arrows on the non-handled side of the lid, and you're supposed roughly put the lid on in the appropriate fashion and then press down on the arrows while simultaneously either lifting up on the opposite sides of the lid (to open) or pressing down on the opposite sides (to close). I read the instructions and had no problem. My husband didn't and swore loud and long. After he got it out of his system he heard that I'd been gently suggesting there's a trick for some time now. Since listening to the explanation he's been able to open and close it himself now too. Love being able to warm food on the stove (think cheese sauce to put your macaroni in), then transfer to the oven (for baked macaroni) and then keep the leftovers (if there are any), all in one pan. At Thanksgiving this square pan holds 2 full packages of regular-sized Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix (full to the very top) or one package with copious additions to the mix -- gives us enough extra stuffing for the famous stuffing eaters in our family to go to town and still leave some for everyone else to have with the rest of the turkey! Great for one or two packages of quick breads (pretty shallow if one, nearly to the top of the pan if two), again using the lid to let it sit out on the counter as people nibble over the next couple of days. Handles are pushed inward on purpose, so as to take less room in a crowded oven; the startegy works, without cramping my hands when lifting or carrying. I don't normally buy All-Clad (Cuisinart and Tramontina stainless steel cooking pans work well enough for me at much more reasonable prices), but this one is both unique and less expensive than some of their items. A real winner! Now -- could someone (like All-Clad, Nordicware or Cuisinart) please make stainless sheet pans with covers/lids??!! :) :)
