This RV Water inlet is made of high quality materials. It comes with all of the items needed to install it, and is much better than the plastic ones that are usually used in RVs. Very happy to have this one!

I have one of these for my city water inlet and love that its all metal and no plastic so I got this one based on that for 2 reasons. 1st was so that I can use the solid brass elbow on my city water inlet since that's a great idea for having the hose go down and more out of the way. It wont stick out straight from my inlet now. The second reason was to use this for my water tank drain so I could mount it on the floor board and drain the water on of the floor. It has a long 1/2" threaded spout to go through the floor and out of the bottom so I can now just drain the water when I am don for the camping season.As a city water inlet this is perfect and should last much longer than the plastic type but also works for my needs and should never have to replace it.

My plastic inlet started cracking-I chose this as a replacement because it is brass. As described it is all metal and has a substantial feel. The cap is definitely a bonus to prevent leaks and bug invasions. The threads were smooth and were a perfect fit to my existing connections. The outer flange was perfect as it was a little wider than the plastic one and covered the mark left by the replaced port. Great upgrade!

Got tired of replacing the plastic versions. A couple of years in the sun and they are done. Found these and I am quite happy with them.Stainless Steel will not be bothered by the sun, or much of anything else. Sure, there will be the rubber washers to replace from time to time. But you can buy a pack and replace them yearly if you want. Takes about 10 seconds.I also like the brass elbow to help reduce strain on the water hose.If you are needing to replace your plastic water inlet...maybe try one that has a better chance of lasting.
