My neighbors rescue stray cats and kittens and this helps socialize and calm them when they’re first captured and awaiting adoption.I used one with my rescue dog when I first adopted her too.

This is probably more of a kitten’s or puppy’s toy than a cat’s. It’s as cute as it can be but my recently adopted 8 year old cat has had no interest in it. When I turned on the heartbeat her no interest in it escalated to running away from it. Had hoped she’d love it but got the opposite reaction.

I have one cat who used to be an outside feral. While he was easy to convert to a loving indoor cat, he does still have moments where he gets jumpy, particularly at night when all the cats tend to congregate on my bed. I was hoping this little cat might help settle him a little at night.,The cats, none of them, really seem to care about this little cat at all. They don't hate it, but mostly they've all just ignored it. Surprisingly, I actually found it a little comforting. The actual heartbeat feature is a little more unnatural sounding than I'd anticipated from other similar products in the past, but it still helped soothe me to sleep at least.

My daughter just got a 5 month old kitten and was flying home for the holidays. We saw this heartbeat cat and thought it might help calm her down some on the flight. This seemed to help her be less anxious and not meow nearly as much while traveling. Overall I am glad we had this to help ease her traveling.

When I open this package, I thought it was the most adorable thing. I have an eight month old kitten and this was marked as a cat toy. I thought it might help him settle down to go to sleep at night, or give him something to wrestle with in the day and wear them out.. The first thing is it needs AAA batteries, three of them, and they are not included. It also has a little bean or rice bag inside that you can heat up to make it warm. I gave it to the kitten and he did a little holding it, exploring it and then he was instantly bored by it. I could not get him interested in it at all. I really think this is more of a toy that you would have for a brand new puppy to keep them from fussing at night.Between the warming piece, and the little thumb thumb heartbeat. The only interest the kitten showed in it was before I turned on the little heartbeat. Once I turned that on, he didn’t want it at all.

This is designed as a pet toy, but I'm here to state this will appeal to people too! It requires batteries, which are not included) but they magnify the enjoyment of this item tenfold. Insertion of the batteries adds both heat and a heartbeat to this cute little cat. I can imagine how a dog might react ... but it's even easier for me to imagine how a child or even an adult, will react. My grown son would have snatched this up when I opened the package...but I plan to offer it up as one of the prizes as a Bingo game for my local group of Cool Retired Women. I think this is a hidden gem with more appealing than I initially expected.

I already have a heart beat plushy but I wanted to have a backup for when the other needed to be washed. Or if it just quit working like so many things these days.My other one is a dachshund and is longer than this kitty. It seems easier with the dachshund for the kittens to pile up in the nursing position. This may be fine though, I’ll find out when kitten season rolls around again.I much prefer the fabric on the cat plush. It’s not a plush synthetic material, it’s more like the outside material of sweatpants. Very soft and durable, and it will wash well.I keep neonatal kittens on a heating pad covered in blankets, so the heat pack is not particularly useful to me. Another reviewer mentioned they couldn’t get it to heat up, I didn’t bother trying so can’t comment on that. The heartbeat part I did try, and it does work.I’ve attached pictures of the heartbeat cat compared to a 12oz can of coke. As you can see it’s very small. I think this would be too small for more than 3-4 kittens. I did not take off a star for this as the measurements are listed in the description. In fact one of the item pictures compares it to a neonate kitten and the kitten is pictured the same size. So the company definitely was not hiding how small this is. Other than the size it’s a great product.

It's a nice little plush. I tried to warm up the bag it comes with following the instructions but no matter how long I left it in the microwave it never got warmer than luke warm so I gave up on that. The heart beat is a nice function, but unfortunately my cat had 0 interest in this toy
