This is so very well made and super soft. It's my favorite of a pile of dog toys, and in my dog's top two favorites. Hee :)

My dog loves her little lamb. It helped her sleep through the night and she carries it around everywhere.

Bought for a new puppy. She loved it, calmed her down at bedtime and she slept with it.

New puppy took to this right away! First nap he laid down on top of it just like it was one of his litter. Only complaint is that although it came with batteries, they were corroded and dead.

I wanted to love this heartbeat pillow. The pillow was soft and well made but it was not what I had hoped for. The heartbeat sounds were mechanical and not realistic sounding. I had a previous heartbeat pillow for my last puppy and that had a better heartbeat sound than this one. What was further frustrating was you have to actually open up the heartbeat compartment to click it heartbeat on which is a hassle. The previous pillow I could press the pillow and it would begin the heartbeat which made it easy to click on. The other issue I found was that the heartbeat lasts for hours as opposed to 15-30 minutes. The issue with the heartbeat lasting for hours is that the puppy will eventually become used to always hearing the heartbeat and wake up when the heartbeat stops or they will become reliant on a heartbeat to go to sleep. Having a shorter interval to the heartbeat allows the puppy to fall asleep to it and when it stirs and wakes it can fall back asleep without hearing it. It would be nice for this to come with a feature for shorter or longer heartbeat intervals and the ability to turn it on without having to open the compartment up.

I adopted my puppy at six weeks and it was so hard for her to transition from leaving her mom and litter mates to my home. She would be whining and crying most of the time. I tried the water bottle with an old shirt of mine method which seemed to work, and I got on amazon in search for a plush that could soothe her. I came across this product, and I chose this one over the brand name because I thought the sheep was very cute lol. I recommend this product 100%! My pup loves to sleep with it and I immediately noticed a difference as she was soothed to sleep with this plushie. With or without the heartbeat, she loves to sleep with it regardless! I would love if this product, if the insert at the bottom could have more space as I would like to insert a heat pack to keep her warm. Also, my pup ripped out the nose stitches so just be careful with your pups as they may swallow the stitching!Overall, I love this product and I recommend getting your hands on one of these before your pup comes into your home. It’ll make the transition from mom to home much smoother.

So when my puppy first came home to me I bought this to try to help him keep calm through the night. He wasn't able to sleep through the night, but he did sleep more than I had expected. The next couple of nights he was able to sleep through the night completely (but liked to wake up at 5 am...). Fast forward to a month later, and I no longer turn the heart on all the time (because I forget). But I did buy a re-chargeable heart because having to keep buying batteries is a pet peeve for me. He still loves to sleep with it as it's another snuggle spot that helps keep him warm (short haired mini dachshund, so not much fur to keep himself warm) in the kennel. During the day though, he loves to drag this thing out of the kennel and "wrestle" with it. He shakes it a lot like all dogs like to do to "kill" it, and he's chewed the tail and nose worn. But the reason I say it has pheremones is that at 10 weeks old (which was younger than my last dogs' puberty age), he's humping it like there's no tomorrow. If I need to get his attention, or keep him out of a certain area, all I need to do is bring this out of kennel, and he's off humping the stuffing out of it. His brother (who belongs to my mother and is from the same litter), does the same thing. So now I have to wonder if they added some pheremones to it so that it's really "lovable". It was actually pretty hilarious because I was face-timing my mother showing her my dog with this anxiety toy, and he decided to perform his first humping act on air. So I'm not sure I can say it did it's main job to calm anxiety, but it did act as companion (in more ways than one) to my dog. My dog is almost 4 months old now and this toy is still going strong... well, the neck could use a sew, and the tail is on it's last leg, but he loves his girlfriend just the way she is.
