Works well in my custom 3D printed hydroponic garden tower. I'm only pumping up about 4-5 feet high, but it does the job perfectly.

This is like that little engine that could. Small size that has 4 suction feet plugs, with long enough power cord, adapters, and also long enough plastic lead tube to eject water. It felt silent when plugged in and seem to function as designed. The only downside is that it doesn't have a power switch, so when this gets plugged in, it goes.

I was interested in this aquarium pump as a replacement for a broken pump in one of my cats' drinking fountains. It's the right size - a 3w - and it's safe to use. It works better than others I've purchased or acquired to effectively push the water through the spout at the top of the fountain. It moves the water with a bit more force than standard pet fountain pumps as it's plugged directly into an outlet as opposed to the standard variety that is powered by usb.It can be used in small tabletop aquariums, pet fountains, even science projects! It's a good little pump!

It works great, for that purpose. I like that it can be throttled down to fit the need. At full strength, it would be shooting a stream of water in the air - way more power than is necessary for the trickle needed for a dog fountain. The simple control on the front of the pump is intuitive and adjustable. As has been mentioned in a few other reviews, using this pump may require powering it with a GFCI outlet for safety. This was not a problem for us, as it goes through an outlet we have in our kitchen. Just be aware.

This is a great little pump that could be used for so many purposes. It is a great help in my hydroponics system. It is whisper quiet and powerful. I also have a little pond, and in a pinch, I could use it to do emergency aeration if my main pump went out. I have my pump on a digital 15 minute on, 15 minute off repeated timer, so that is a lot of cycling. I don't know how these little pumps fair running continuously vs constant start/stop cycling. All I can say is it seems to be well built, no obvious signs of defect, and is doing what I want it to do. I suggest keeping several of these on hand as they may burn out (past units, not of this brand) and it is not worth time and money to repair. I think if you have an aquarium or hydroponics system it's important to say this is pretty quiet.
