I've bought 3 of these and one failed completely. At least it did not catch on fire or cause a more serious problem. The output on these per supplies starts a bit high and drops a bit more at load than some other brands.I generally try to buy other brands of supplies now even if they list 10A of current instead of 15A. I try to find ones that are etl or ul listed. I don't see etl or ul on this one.

I own many Alitove products and keep coming back for more. All their products I've received have been flawless and this PSU is no different. I've been putting it under heavy load for a while now and it's working great. Highly recommended.

It has a grounding issue, it doesn’t have a stable current. Cannot use it for my LED lights.Bought 2 and both are faulty

I bought this for a digital picture frame whose supply died. The original supply was rated for 5.0 VDC at 2A. The frame draws a maximum of about 1.25A when starting and about 1.0 A thereafter. This replacement supply is well above 5.0V without a load but drops to about 4.80V at 1.25A. This surprised me considering the supply is rated for 5A. The picture frame wouldn't complete its start-up routine because the voltage dropped that low. I experimented with a lab supply and found that the minimum voltage required at the picture frame is about 4.85V. Ultimately I bought an variable voltage supply and set it to 6V to run this picture frame. I suspect this device is very sensitive to low voltage and most devices devices would run fine with this converter.

Short review: This power supply is dangerous! Not only did it fail to deliver 80% load in optimal conditions, it also got stuck in an overheating fail state for at least an hour! The only good thing I can say is no fires or melting occurred.Long review: I purchased a 5V 10A version to replace a lab power supply for an 8 x 18650 battery tester. The peak current draw of this end device is 8.2 amps, verified on the lab power supply. I set the new power supply on the cold concrete thin side down and started all 8 channels, waiting 10 minutes to make sure nothing heated up excessively. I came back a couple hours later, the tester was cold and powered off and the power supply was painfully hot. Thankfully the batteries and tester were fine, based on the graph data the power supply failed shortly after I left and remained in that fail state for a long time. I'm glad my test setup was in the garage on a cold concrete slab, things could have played out differently if I tried this on carpet.

I finally had the time to work on this projectthis power supply delivers the volt and amps but the plugin connector does indeed get hot like others have stated For my use i was going to cut the end off and solder the wires anyway so if you are a hobbiest this will work for you if you solder the wires

Updated review:After getting contacted by the seller, a replacement power supply was shipped under warranty. The replacement works great!Original review:When connected to a small LED strip, the voltage drops to 4.95V. The female DC barrel connector is also defective and does not work properly (used another barrel connector I had on hand to test). The warranty request page on the manufacturer website is broken, hence returned the product.

I have this power supply connected to an ESP-32 running WLED and an addressible RGB Strip (5 meter, 60 led/m, 300 led total, maximum possible draw of 18 amp, limited to 12 in software for the longevity of the power supply & strip.)Initially, the power supply worked with 0 issues with the positive and negative wires connected to the included DC Jack/Terminal. Unfortunately, after about a week of usage my lights suddenly stopped working and isolated the issue to be related to this power supply. The reason this product still has a 5 star review from me is the amazing customer support, I contacted them and within afew days of my original unit breaking I received a new one in the mail, but the story doesn't end there. While I was waiting for my replacement I discussed my issue with some others and read more reviews of this product, which had complained about the DC Jack, so when my new unit arrived I decided to investigate. And the other reviews were right, when I swapped out the Screw Terminal for the one in my replacement, the lights worked again, the actual power supply had never died, just the adapter.Unfortunately, after only afew hours of usage with the new adapter, I lost power ONCE AGAIN! I decided it's probably in my best interest to skip the adapter and to simply strip the wires on the power supply (if you think about it, it goes from wires, to male DC, to female DC, to a spot to plug in wires, to wires, it's simply one more point of failure.)Since I stripped the wires and connected it completely I have experienced 0 issues with the power supply, and would recommend it to someone else trying to make a diy argb lighting solution, but I would recommend them to strip the wires from the start rather than using the Terminal (and I belive I would recommend this regardless of the power supply used since I have gained knolege from this experience)Photo 1: Afformentioned Screw TerminalPhoto 2: Lighting power solution after wired have been stripped

Update 10-8-18: Customer service is working with me to resolve and diagnose the issues. Attaching the power to both ends appears to be solving the issue even without a capacitor as I had to use previously to get it partially functional. They have additionally sent me a working replacement of the two I purchased that have had no issues and did not require the power to be attached to both ends.I purchased two sets of these, returned the first one assuming I was just unlucky. The second set was not much better. Using an Arduino and WS2812B LED strips from same seller and I could get at most 1 change in color before they locked up, I assumed software or some other issue, but I had purchased a PS from them a couple of years ago and it worked fine, no problem even when voltage dropped near the end I could rapidly change the colors/brightness.I was able to get around the issue with the use of a capacitor on the newer ones, but I still could not go past about ~120 brightness depending on saturation before it would lock up while the older one (again same model) would do just fine at bright white, nothing else needed. Not sure if I'll settle or return and try a different brand, but after 4 and none working out of the box I would not recommend.

The unit I received has a noticeable ringing, whine noise during use* (with a ALITOVE 300 LED WS2812B strip). I knew going in that this 15A PSU could not fully push through 300 LEDs but this whining is noticeable at night while relaxing (I use the strip as a random variable mood light). Seller was contacted but perhaps did not understand my issue and tried to resolve the inability of driving the 300 LED strip.* [UPDATE]: Due to an issue with the LED strip bought with this PSU, ALITOVE quickly replaced both items. The new PSU is DEAD SILENT.NOTE TO BUYERS: ALITOVE is VERY good with their customer service and went above and beyond to be sure I was taken care of. I would recommend this PSU with one caveat, if your unit whines or rings during use, let ALITOVE know ASAP and they will take care of you.USAGE NOTE: My use case for this PSU is to drive a https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQ0D2TY/ via a https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LW1J10W/This strip is 300 LEDs and needs about 18~20 amps to deliver "Full White" at full brightness (and needs power on BOTH ends of the strip). If you purchase the same "package", just be aware of this limitation (a product of 5v IC LEDs). If your use is "mood/party lighting", this setup is wonderful
