Very easy to adjust the seat height to be able to look through telescopes more comfortably! A great gift for your astronomer friend! Simply awesome!

Sturdy chair with comfort seat/ back. When setting up the chair, watch your feet/ shin. The leg chair is heavy metal and can hurt if the legs swings out and smacks you. Wish there was a safety guard for that, but besides, that it is a good chair

Wasn't expecting the chair to be heavy. It was a nice surprise as this gives the feeling of a solid build. Easy enough to expand/collapse. Yes you need to be behind it with the seat up in order to adjust the height. Stepping on the bar at the bottom gives extra leverage but not necessary. Seat has a nice padding size and thickness. I use it for 8 hours with no problem. I'm not sure how the seat locks in place though. I was expecting button clips for height adjustment similar to what crutches have but the seat appears to "pinch" the frame when you have it down and that locks it. I was hesitant to sit on it at first. It does slide down on you slowly when you're sitting on it. Not sure if it's just my chair or it's built that way. Not a big deal to adjust though. Unexpectedly working remote and you don't have space for an office chair, this is a good find and buy. Would recommend buying it as it is a nice comfortable chair that adjusts.

I bought two of these after using a colleague's. My initial reaction was very positive: It was easy to operate, easy to adjust, comfortable, moderate cost, and most importantly it folds quite flat. This seemed like a big improvement over my previous performance stools. However, after a few months of daily use, first one and then the other of these stools began making horrible creaking noises, to the point that I can no longer use them on stage. A quick inspection of the attachment mechanism shows the problem. It's just not sturdy enough. If you are a 104-pound 5'2" violinist, it might be just the thing, but it's obvious that the amount of leverage placed on the cantilevered seat by a beefy six-footer is more than this design can take, especially if like me you prefer the upper positions which place less support on your legs and transfer more force to the seat. It's too bad. The problem seems to be in the adjustment mechanism. If the design were for a fixed position, not easily adjustable in use, but instead anchored firmly, I suspect this chair could be made strong enough to stand up to daily use. As it is, I am writing both of them off as lost causes, and must find a replacement. Most disappointing.

I love this chair primarily because it’s adjustable, but I don’t like that it’s so heavy and that the adjustment mechanisms hinder my comfort because they are literally right behind the seat and I sit on them. I also don’t like that the chair doesn’t have a latch to keep it closed during transport, but I can Jerry rig something to do that I suppose. Nevertheless, I do love this chair over the cheaper one I purchased and lost at a gig somewhere, because it’s adjustable and a bit more comfortable!

Just got this and man am I happy to have finally found an adjustable and comfortable chair with a back that I can fold up and take with my instrument. I play and own a Leblanc contrabass clarinet and am pretty tall, so must stools or chairs that I am forced to use are too tall or too short, causing for a very uncomfortable rehearsal. A friend who plays doublebass recommended this chair. It is a bit heavier than I would like, but other than that it is perfect. Adjustable, folding, and with a back is exactly what I was needing. You do have to use a screw driver to adjust the height of the seat, but once you have it where you want, it does not move or go anywhere. It is also very sturdy and I see this lasting a very long time. Folds up nicely and am able to strap it to my gig bag when lugging all this around. Great buy for a musician always on the go!

Really nice. I did a lot of research on this tool that I wanted before buying. This was the very best available. It's adjustable in height. It has a back rest. It folds up so it's not taking up a lot of space. The faux leather fabric is tough and it is very good-looking. Fabulous fabulous product for the mound of money and you can pay a lot of money for a stool out there but this one is perfectly priced and it is the best stool going
