ALANO Wood Miniature CelloThe cello and accessories arrived in a cute black box that easily slides out from a plain cardboard holder. The cello and bow fit perfectly inside their black case with red velvet-like lining. The case’s gold hinges and locks work well. The small black plastic stand looks and feels inexpensive, but it works.The cello had a minor imperfection on both the front and back (and the endpin rod/spike had fallen out but I was able to replace it), but it’s still an adorable set. I also ordered the violin (no imperfections – 5 stars), and it’s the same length as the cello but thinner. The two magnets included with the cello were larger than the violin’s.Even with the minor imperfections, this set would make a great gift for the cellist in your life. Made in China.

I was very impressed with this mini cello when I opened it - I was not expecting it to be this great! It is a very well-done piece, with tuning pegs that even turn the strings! It comes packed nicely in its own sturdy case, with a bow, stand, choice of lanyards to hang it as an ornament should you choose and a couple sticky-back magnets (maybe if you wanted to stick it on your fridge?).The finish is nice on all sides and the craftsmanship is amazing for a $16 miniature. The only thing I was unhappy about is it did not have the endpin on the end. I can easily make one from a toothpick and paint it, but it was missing upon arrival, so I can't give five stars (otherwise I would have).One note - this does look a good bit more like a violin than a cello, mainly because of the scale of the pegbox and scroll to the rest of the instrument, but if they were made smaller, I doubt there would be a way for the tuning pegs to function.The company does have other instruments that look just as well-done, and I would not hesitate to purchase any of them, should I have the need.
