I bought both the Airaid Spacer and the Taylor Cable Helix Power Spacer, as I am a Mechanical Engineer and I wanted to examine and compare both spacers in my hands before installation in order to select the best product. I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade with a 6.2L LS engine (400hp stock), and had already installed these items:- DiabloSport I3 computer tuner- K&N Cold Air intake, plastic tube option- Powersports E3 high output spark plugs- Edelbrock 8.5mm spark plug wiresWhen I stacked both spacers back-to-back, there are obvious advantages of the Taylor Cable Helix Power Spacer over the Airaid Spacer. First and foremost, the Taylor spacer has a slightly smaller inside diameter, about 1/8” smaller, than the Airaid spacer. This means the Taylor spacer will have more air compression, resulting in a higher oxygen content. Second advantage, the Taylor spacer reduction vanes are milled in the same direction as the air flow, which means NO WHISTLE. Those two advantages alone made my decision to install the Taylor Cable Helix Spacer, and to return the Airaid Spacer. It took less than 15 minutes to install the spacer behind my cold air intake. I can tell a DEFINITE DIFFERENCE in both power and sound when I get over 3,000 RPM. At lower speeds, I can tell the torque has improved so that the engine does not downshift at slight accelerations. At higher speeds with more throttle, I can feel more power in each shift, and the sound from the cold air intake now sounds slightly deeper and more muscular, no whistle whatsoever. When I punch it with full throttle I can get past 100mph in only a few seconds.Next, I plan to install a set of Kooks long pipe headers and full dual exhaust for another 30hp and more miles per gallon.

Est-ce que c'est normal que la plus petite ouverture et dirigée vers le k&n?Le sifflet me semble pas très fort.Mais j'aime quand même le son 👍

Installed on a 2008 Tahoe LS 5.3 Flex fuel. This was installed in conjunction with a K&N Cold air intake kit. Total fuel mileage increase 2-3 miles a gallon hwy, 1 MPG city. Throttle response improved. If you can keep your foot out of the throttle i this you will see a small fuel economy improvement. I think it is a worth while investment if you are looking for simple easy to install performance add on. I did not notice ant loud whistling from this application.

Sounds good was easy to install especially if u r putting in a new air intake cause everythings already takin apart to the point where u just take out four bolts and slap it in there. Not too sure how i feel about the whistle yet

I have looked at the reviews on this and normally when 25 out of 30 people ( or whatever the number is) give something five stars , the majority is right. All I know is what I experienced with it , and it actually made my performance go backward (2010 suburban 5.3-6 speed) . For me the issue is that it screws the air up so bad going into the intake that it actually causes a hesitation in throttle response, which in turn causes the already perplexed transmission to not shift up or down at key moments in traffic. Some guys are flow guys ( with air flow) and some are turbulence . This is a " turbulence is good" mod. The design is the air flows against the taper and over and against cnc'd rings with sharp edges. Causing mass amounts of turbulence which are supposed to improve mixture , and maybe it does at wide open throttle. But at lower volumes , like partial throttle where you spend most of your time driving it just causes a massive hesitation. As soon as I took the spacer off it was like driving a new truck. I've never put a mod on a vehicle that made the performance go so backwards.

This product says it will give you a lot better mpg and throttle response which it does just not to the numbers stated. I not have more bottom end in torque wise and I was getting mpg before and now getting 12.3 mpg. Very easy install and easy upgrade.

I added this to my 2007 Tahoe, which I had already upgraded with an Airaid 200-196 Cold Air Intake. Installation was simple, though the intructions are not the easiest to understand without comparing to the engine compartment several times (that could just be me, I tend to be very thorough). The combination of CAI and this spacer provide a noticable improvement - I no longer feel like the engine is just bareley making enough power to maintain speed. I rarely notice the additional noise, and even when I do hear it, it is not so bad that I regret installing the spacer. I consider this a worthwhile upgrade, though I am not sure I would do it without the CAI as well.

Bought this and the CAI for my 2012 single cab gmc with the 5.3. The tb spacer came in two days after, impatiently I went ahead and installed the CAI. Did not notice a whole lot and didnt sound much different. Then I put the tb spacer on and had a noticeable difference, and it whistles, sounds a lot like a turbo. I absolutely love it. Worth the money. Install time was about 12 mins for just the tb spacer.
