Got this fan as a replacement for and older one, It moves a lot of air, rotates easy, is very quite, easy to hang, and the price was great. We're happy with it!!

12" fan is the best. 16" don't last. Rotation issue. But this 12" is the best. I have 1 that is 6yrs old.

In my home, I have (effectively) two temperature zones; the back area, which is always cool, and the front area, which is always warm. Previously, the only way to join the two was to put a giant box fan in the hallway between, which of course would result in people stumbling over it, kicking the cord, profanity, frustration, etc... it was just a giant mess...Finally, I purchased this bad boy and wall-mounted it between the two areas.Assembly. Virtually none. You snap the back on, screw in a plastic thing, put on the fan blades, and then pop on the front. Nothing to it. Really. Couldn't have been any easier.Installation. I'm not good with anchors or wall brackets or anything like that. In fact, I kind of hate the idea. This thing comes with a bracket you hang on the wall and then you just pop the thing up. It's ridiculous, honestly. I set aside 30 minutes of my evening, got out the drill, the level, everything... it took me 5 minutes, I never used a single wall anchor (though depending on where you hang it, you might need to), nor did I use the level, and not only does the thing feel sturdier than any picture I've ever hung, but it looks like it belongs there.Operation. It's a fan, and it operates as such. You turn it on, it moves the air, and if you want it to, it goes left to right, which is pretty cool because to date, exactly 0 of my fans have ever done that. As far as noise goes, it is not disruptive. I can notice the airflow fifteen feet away, but it doesn't sound like a jet engine. I guess if I were looking to be picky, it does make a little "click" at the end of every oscillation cycle, but if you're okay with the sound of a penny hitting a carpeted floor 20 feet away from you, you can totally handle it. It saves floor space and desk space by being wall-mounted, which I greatly appreciate.I suppose if I had to complain, my complaint would be that it didn't come with a second one for free, because now I'm confident I need one in at least one other place in my home. Considering the price, this is a great buy if you're looking to make air movement happen and you're limited on room.Oh. That, and the pull-string. I'm 6'3, so the pull-string is kind of insulting. Like "ha ha, we included this wonderful feature but YOU'RE TOO TALL TO ENJOY IT". Seriously. Wtf.Oh, and the cord could be a little longer. Cry me a river. Go go gadget extension cord!

PROS:- Easy to mount- Pull string to change speeds- Moves a lot of air- Easily removed front grill (for cleaning)CONS:- Mount/tilt not very flexible or intuitive- Vibration on medium/high speeds- Oscillation setting not easily accessible when mounted high- Blade feels cheap and unbalanced when assembledThis fan is excellent - it moves a ton of air and is not excessively noisy. The only down side, which I have seen mentioned in at least one other review, is the level of vibration the fan exhibits on medium and high speeds. The mount is solid and the fan is in no danger of coming down, but the problem appears to stem from the light, cheap plastic blade being unbalanced. I'm using this in my kitchen, so I just put it on low when the oven or stove is not in use and it's no problem. It's no problem anyway, except for the fact that no one wants to see a fan vibrating. Still, this is a decent value and I would purchase it again if I needed a wall-mount oscillating fan.

I usually read a few of the best ratings but ALL the worst ratings before buying a product. I did so when purchasing this fan. So when I read about the poor quality and/or noise level issues in some ratings, I thought hard before purchasing anyway. But since there didn't seem to be a good alternative for my need, I went ahead with the purchase. My experience, however is 5*. The fan is quiet, smooth, and moves a LOT of air. It's as if I got a different model than the 1* rating customers received. We use ours for our garage. Mounting was a breeze ... 2 holes mounts a simple bracket on which the fan hooks/hangs. The fan oscillates with the push of a button on the motor housing (typical functionality) and also tilts down if you remove a quarter-sized plastic screw cover to expose a phillips adjustment screw. But best of all, there is a pull cord that hangs down from the fan which allows you to cycle through High-Medium-Low-OFF settings without climbing on a stool or jumping up to reach the controls (yes, we have ours mounted near the ceiling and we are not blessed with natural born height).Bottom line: a great fan for mounting on a wall, especially up high ... quiet, smooth, adjustable, and MOVES air.
