besides the fact was missing one of each bolt(3) the grid i had to buy separately does not stay in place when you put it in. As soon as material hits, it falls in on one side. I wouldnt put more the 20lbs a time in the hopper. If I would have seen it in store I would have bought the less expensive $50 scott probably sitting next to it. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. I will use till i cant fix it anymore and then send it to the landfill with rest of chinas crap. DONT waste your $$$$$$$

One star is too many. 1. Arrived with two broken plastic parts. 2. The guide to set the spread rate is cheap and didn't stay at the setting I wanted, repeatedly. 3. The two sliding flaps at the bottom of the hopper that regulate spread rate didn't close completely so they leaked and wasted fertilizer. 4. Fertilizer spread primarily to the right side of the hopper rather than evenly across the 180° spread that it should have provided. 5. Fertilizer spread only about 2-3 feet to the side, often less than that. 6. A specific spead rate setting did not provide the same actual spread rate each time it was selected. 7. Because of these problems, I was always unsure if all of my lawn received the desired fertilizer coverage.I had an older, much higher quality Agrifab spreader for many years of great service, but a part broke that was no longer available, so I decided to try another spreader from the same manufacturer. One more example of inferior quality in many of today's products, and over-priced for what I got. Returned it and will not buy Agrifab again.

The setting handle is stopped by the cheapest little clip. It moves when you push it forward. Sometimes when you pull it back too. Otherwise would be great. And I didn't find it to spread very wide

Purchase this spreader because I was tired of the Scotts spreaders that you get out of home Depot and Lowe's. This one definitely was easier to put together. The only issue I have is it seems to have a much higher flow even on the lowest setting than other spreaders. I love the capacity and the wheels with the bucket design makes maneuvering around the yard very easy.
