These 6 mini seed spreaders looked like the answer to my prayers—no more planting seeds by hand and feeling like I was reenacting Hansel and Gretel with a breadcrumb trail. But the first time I used one, it became clear these little guys have a personality all their own.Picture this: me crouched in the garden, gripping one of these spreaders like I was defusing a bomb. Turn the dial too little, and nothing comes out. Turn it too much, and BAM—a seed explosion. My radishes now have a VIP seating arrangement in the garden, while my parsley is throwing a house party all over the place. Let’s just say the “manual” part in the name isn’t joking—you’ll need a steady hand and a lot of patience.Still, there’s something endearing about them. They’re small, lightweight, and easy to clean—perfect for anyone who enjoys the process of gardening more than the perfection of it. Sure, my rows are a little chaotic, but now I call it “organic artistry.” They may not make you a precision planter, but they’ll definitely make gardening more fun. Just keep an eye on that dial!

I did not find these tools enhanced or helped handling tiny seeds. I need something to help control of Lobelia and/or Petunia size seed. I had high hopes . . . I found the plunger released large uncontrolled quantities of such fine seed. The inside of several of the tools are rough and create pockets fine material (seed) build up and fail to allow movement. The plastic material creates a static charge which then transferred to the seed, they became supercharged with the static and jumped and flew all over. Very frustrating, I tossed the whole set.

These only work on specific sized seeds. It wasn't any easier for me to use these as just picking the seeds from my hands. I wouldn't buy again.

Not good for very small seeds. The applicator opens very wide.
