Durable and works good. My only complaint is that it will bend and bow easily like most saws. You have to pay attention and saw straight or you'll bend the blade.

This is the real deal. I use it every other day since I've bought it and it is awesooooome! I would stock a couple of those but it is useless, it is bomb proof unless you intend to break it. Best buy since a long time.

This is a great camping saw. The standard blade cuts quickly and stays taught. It can be a little alarming when it snaps into place but the mechanism is solid.

Fantastic saw, just wish I had bought the package that includes the aggressive blade and sheath.Anyway I’ve made a cordura sheath and included the Bahco pegged tooth blade for bushcraft versatility, paired with the Gransfors small forest axe I should survive the winter nights in the woods.

Folds down very well, perfect for bush craft as it weighs very little yet will cut through large logs quite easily. Blade seems to be lasting a while too. Grip will give you a sore hand after extensive use as it’s slightly narrow. Other than this brilliant.

Love this saw. Great design. Feels very solid when blade is leveraged into place. The form factor is excellent the way it folds into itself while covering the blade and is very quick to assemble with minimal fuss. Could it be a bit beefier, sure, but then it would add weight. Good balance if intend to hike any distance and need a tough bow saw. Thought it cost allot, but when one's life might be on the line, you need products that can do real work and won't quickly break or work like garbage. A nice option would be to offer a spare blade that one could choose to bring and secure within the saw's creased armature design. Having a backup blade would give added peace of mind for extended camping trips into the bush, plus for the price of this saw it should come with one. Overall great design though.

I purchased this saw from amazon back in 2019. I use it for both camping and backpacking. This is a very sturdy saw, easy to deploy, easy to fold up and easy to pack. The blade cuts very aggressively and I can't say enough about it.After 3 years of heavy use it's still holding up great. Blade replacement was easy as well.I'm writing this review now because of a recent interaction with Agawa customer service. I was packing for a trip and I happened to notice one of the screws on the handle of the saw was missing. I went to their website and saw they had several of the small parts available for sale but not the screws. It's sort of an odd shape so I thought it might be tricky finding a replacement at the hardware store. So I emailed the customer service address on the website asking if I could purchase a replacement. Within a matter of a couple hours, I received a response with a tracking number indicating replacement screws were on the way. No charge for the screws, no charge for the shipping, no questions asked. This is a GREAT company! If you're looking for a folding bow saw, stop looking. You now only have to worry about which size Agawa Boreal saw you want!

I purchased this Boreal 21in folding bow saw to clear the trails I ride with my dirt bike and it is now my favorite tool out on the trail. at first I thought of getting a chain saw and mounting it on my bike like I have seen guys do on social media. while it may seem more epic and manly that seemed like overkill for 90% of the stuff I run into. also I didn't like the idea of having all that extra weight on the front of my bike and messing with the handling of the bike. the only other options I could think of were these smaller folding saws. I have a 10 in one and it works well on branches but anything over 6 in took forever to cut. There not as efficient because your wrist has to be at a 45 degree angle witch can lead to fatigue. So finally after some time researching I saw a guy on YouTube pull out one of these style of folding saws and then I knew this was what I was looking for, something that is light enough to take on any ride and has the ability to do some serious cutting! I ended up getting this one because of the amount of reviews this one had and I am glad I did! this thing feels solid and dose what I need it to do. it is the perfect size and fits on my pack nicely. overall it is a quality feeling tool and worth the money. would buy again in a heart beat.

I have nothing bad to say about this saw. It's lightweight, blade is super aggressive and the build quality is superb. They supply you with a few extra metal clips that hold the blade in place in the event you break or lose the one that comes with it. They're a pretty common snap ring that my local hardware store sells. It chews through hardwood quite fast and the red pine was like a hot knife through butter. Very little effort needed and it folds down nice and compact to fight in my hiking pack. Highly recommend.

The saw that you see in nearly every bushcraft YouTubers arsenal, and for good reason. This saw was everything I expected and more.I hesitated for quite a while because of the price, but realized that replacement blades for this saw are only a few dollars from any hardware store, while my Bahco Laplander cost almost the price of the saw to replace the blade. So this saw would end up costing me less in the long run.The saw is long and skinny so it slides right into my pack without taking up hardly any space and not adding much weight. It sets up in a few seconds by unfolding and then snapping into place. The tension it puts on the blade is amazing and does not allow any flex or wobble which helps get a beautiful, clean cut very quickly. The blade it comes with is the all purpose one which is great for green woods but still does a really good job with dried, seasoned hardwood. The only word of advice would be to consider going with the saw and sheath combo package because while I am out just gathering firewood or building material for the camp, it is a bit tough to carry around. Since the blade is so crazy sharp I generally close it while walking, especially if carrying wood back to camp, and it doesn’t fit in any sort of pocket very well while walking. I am making a sheath now for it to help fix this. The speed and ease that this saw works through everything I have thrown at it blows my mind.If you’re considering this saw, but are hesitant because of the price, there are great budget saws like the Bahco Laplander that do work very well but those blades cost a lot more to replace. If you’re considering this saw, but are hesitant because you don’t know if it will live up to the hype or the YouTube videos and reviews, just buy it. You will not be disappointed!
