I use this for fosters kittens, especially when they have recently been separated from their mothers, are sick, and/or are being fostered alone without a friend. It helps soothe them and minimizes their crying at night. I don't use the heating option, but it works fine.

This cute little stuff toy has a beating heart and a warming pouch inside. The warming pouch does not get very hot, but the heart beats for a long time until it is stopped.

Pros: I recently had to put one of my precious cat to sleep. He was 14 years old. 😭 I was so concerned about my other cat grieving, after losing his best friend. So a friend told me about this comfort cat. So I ordered it. It arrived just in time. If anything, it comfort me seeing my cat put his head on it. I cried! I do like the battery heartbeat. But don’t always turn it on now.Cons: I will be honest. I don’t like the heating pad that’s inside it. (That you have to heat up in a microwave). I actually think it doesn’t work good & is a waste of time. But it may work for others.Anyway, if you have a pet that has anxiety, grieving, or is sick. I truly think this is a perfect comforter. I think it would be great for pets who can’t handle noise, separation too. I wish I could have bought this years ago. It’s worth every penny.

At first, my kitten, (I no longer have her), didn't know what to make of the companion. I eventually gave the toy to another kitten and they love it also. It is especially helpful when your pet needs to see the vet. You can put it in the cage with them and they seem to feel more reassured.

Bought this for a kitten we rescued, her littermates went to a home together and she was all by herself. Less than 12 hours after getting it, she's cuddled up and happy. The heartbeat is strong, but not enough to be bothersome after wrapping a baby blanket around it.

Works as advertised but the heartbeat just seemed to irritate my cat. I took it out and then she didn't have any interest at all in the toy.
