I'm not an experienced sharpener. I have several stones and a few diamond plated nickel sharpeners. The stones take some time and work, but this product gives me the ability to quickly sharpen, and field sharpen a knife or hatchet. I can even give my poorly maintained kitchen knives a very fast edge use this. An hunter or outdoors person will appreciate this product.

This is a great portable option to keep your knife sharp when traveling or out in the field. It's small enough to carry and the case keeps it protected. Not my main way of keeping my tools sharp, but a fantastic field option. Highly recommend.

It is a bit of a tight fit, but it means that it doesn't waste any space protecting the sharpener from the other stuff in your bag (or visa versa).

The sharpener barely fits inside of this case, but at least I know it’s not going to be shaking around. Very snug fit. Don’t expect to have room for additional little things. The case is very nice and sturdy. Love the carabiner as well. Highly recommended. I gave it 4/5 stars because it feels like the tolerances were off in manufacturing. An extra few millimeters in each direction would make it a perfect fit.

First of all, I love my Work Sharp Field Sharpener and this case makes that much better! One of the fears I had of taking Work Sharp into the field was that there was no way to actually carry it with out a possibility of losing the sharpening pieces or breaking the ceramic rod. Well this case solves that problem. The Work Sharp fits perfectly, no rattle. The case is compact enough to easily fit into a pack or briefcase. The case has been durable and still looks great! Bought another case for my son's Work Sharp!
