It was very easy to use. Instructions are so simple. I definitely see a difference w/ my cat. A lot less scratching, therefore it’s seems very effective. It didn’t really have a smell to it, really. It was somewhat of an oily substance that spread from the back of my kittens neck down. It dried pretty quickly. I definitely recommend.

This version of Advantage worked for only 24 hrs or so on my young 7.5 lb female cat, then she went back to scratching. I tried this instead of the usual Advantage II that I usually get. When it fell short 2 months in a row, I compared active ingredients between this and Advantage II. This has only the drug that kills the fleas but not the eggs, larvae, etc. Advantage II has the same stuff to kill the fleas, but has a 2nd ingredient that also kills eggs and larvae so they don't reinfect the cat long before the 30 days is up. I already bought some Advantage II for the poor scratching kitty. I found this version useless, so certainly won't be buying it again.

Update: Unfortunately it stopped working after only a few days. My cats now have all the fleas they had before. Such a bummer! However, would be great to get rid of the fleas on the cat, just non residual, at least for me.Have not been paid to leave this review.I was skeptical that this would work, as I've tried others before with no luck. This ACTUALLY worked within hours! M cats finally have relief! No side effects as well, all good here 3 days later and not a single flea on them!

Both our kitties had been enduring fleas for several months. Realizing the life cycle means it will take a series of applications, we are applying each month for a few months to make sure any hatching eggs/baby fleas are destroyed. Both kitties are tolerating the treatments well. Our small grey kitten was barely three lbs when we began treatments. They rarely scratch and we do not see flea dirt when the kitties sleep. We figure one more month to finish the job.

So I was nervous about putting this on two rescue kittens who were quite frail and underweight. They had giant fleas, I mean these suckers were corn fed! I did a lot of reading before choosing this one, based on others recommendations. It's easy to apply just like any other liquid flea medicine on the nape of the neck. I nervously monitored them, they did fine. Absolutely no side effects, no changes in appetite or behavior, no neurological side effects. Within the next two weeks I took them for vet check, and they had no fleas or poop in their fur. It worked great! This only kills existing fleas, it does not handle the cycle so you have to re-treat. If you want something that handles the cycle, you have to go with a more expensive product. If you are like me and love the cats but not rich, this is a great short-term option that is affordable. I'm very happy with it!

This was recommended by a rescue friend for a feral kitten that I adopted. It really works! It killed fleas quickly, many within minutes, it lasted a ling time so the reproductive cycle was stopped, and it has almost no smell unlike other products. Very safe for kittens. It was a good price, I definitely will buy again if needed.
