Always seems to take several doses for dog fleas and he's only 15 lbs and doesn't/didn't have many fleas. He does however go outside daily to go 1 and 2 whereas the cats do not. Plus we got opossum sized rats, which I'm sure that's where the fleas are coming from. At any rate, Bravecto was doing the trick but our vet retired and it's 6 months to see ANY other vet, even for just flea meds, dumb. This does work monthly to keep him flea free once they are gone, just takes 2-3 doses the first month to get rid of them to begin with.

It arrived on time and where I asked it to be put. Worked that day on my 16-year-old dog. She was getting tore up by the fleas. The stopped hurting her and she no longer was biting on herself. I had to bath her every 4 days. I no longer have to bath her that often. Good product.

I have a subscription to this product for both my dogs as it works great and does exactly as it should. Make sure you are buying the right weight amounts for your dog because any that is too much can cause toxic impact to your animal. Who would have though flea meds could do that... they can, so they don't recommend sharing a larger one for two smaller dogs. Also, apparently cats and dogs need to have specific medication because of ingredients and should not be shared between them either.

I usually buy expensive name brand from the pet store, this has worked better and worked longer than those! Love it!

We have a Cairn Terrier. She is about 15 pounds. She had fleas for the first time in 11 years. We first tried a popular flea killer that uses Fipronil. But, many fleas have some resistance to Fipronil, and I could see live fleas on our dog after using this the Fipronil product so I bought the Advantage II. I did not want the extra ingredients to kill ticks, etc... so that is why I did not use the Adnvantix. I applied the first two treatments 10 days apart. The instructions allow for quicker initial back-to-back applications to get a good jump on a flea infestation. After that, we went to once a month. Our dog did not have any side affects that we could see. And, after the first two applications, we no longer saw any live fleas on the dog. One suggestion that I have for those that have a dog with a flea infestation: Shave or cut the fur as close as possible and then give a good flea bath. This will get rid of any eggs sticking to the dog's fur (you've removed most of the fur and washed the rest). Make sure everything is dry before putting on the Advantage and then do not allow the dog/cat to get wet for 24 hours. That's about it. It worked for us.

I have used Frontline as long as I can remember, but for some reason its lost its effectiveness so I thought I'd give this a try. After a lot of research about all the various side effects of different medications (pet armor, frontline, Advantix for k-9's) I decided to go with Bayer Advantage (Advantix is for dog's but harmful if exposed to cats) since my 12.8lb Chinese Crested (Powder-Puff= has tons of hair) best friend is a cat this product was most appealing. I had a recent infestation of those little super fleas; you know, the ones that can hold their breath for 15 minutes and escape a pinch from your fingernail and possibly the blast from a nuclear bomb, yes those ones. I treated him in everything I could imagine including prolonged flea baths using Dawn Ultra, sprinkled Boric acid on the carpets/couch, made tiny little flea deathtraps and vacuumed incisively for two months straight all the while started using this product and low and behold the little effer's will literally falling off him. Forget Frontline, this stuff works!!! And the price is very friendly on your wallet. Word of advice, use this product BEFORE the flea season and make sure to prevent infestations from ever happening otherwise you'll be like me, feeling horrible watching your pup scratch non-stop not being able to focus on anything, giving three baths a week as well as bombing your house to rid yourself of the super fleas from hell who'll eventually develop a taste for your blood. Also, if your pup is small enough you can buy the large breed doses and get yourself a little dropper and ration out how much you pup actually needs...I googled it is something like 0.8ml so you can measure it out and reuse the leftover.
