Got this helmet to use for work and when storm chasing. The helmet is light weight and comfortable. The back is adjustable with a turn dial. The side straps are not adjustable at the helmet end but do slide up and down a little on the side straps. The chin strap buckle is adjustable. On the exterior of the helmet are eight reflectors that are cheaply made and do not want to stay stuck on. I will probably end up pulling them off or come back with some glue and glue them on. The top of the helmet has chrome vents that do allow air to pass through. Positioned around the exterior are slots ment for holding head lamp straps and they are easy to work with when attaching your headlamp. The helmet does come well packaged with a user manual written in english only. This would be a great helmet for people who enjoy the climbing sports or white water rafting. I would not recommend this helmet for cycling use.

I am regularly climbing ladders and trees on farmstead, and my wife has insisted I use a helmet. We know a couple of people that have been paralyzed or brain damaged from bad falls off ladders, and being that I am former Emergency services, SAR, and a former climber, I really should know better. So, I picked this helmet up to do ladder and tree work around the farm. I already have a tactical bump helmet and a UIAA rock climbing helmet, but I wanted something that had a modicum of different certifications that I could rough-up for climbing work use, and something orange so I don’t confuse it with any other helmet that I may have.I recently picked-up a TRV Tech LP bump helmet for his purpose but was disappointed that it had only an EN 1385 certification (for canoeing and whitewater sports), but no climbing certifications and no EPS polystyrene liner. This helmet is much better for climbing and tree work, since it has a CE EN12492 certification, as well as an EPS polystyrene liner. This helmet is as nice as my older Petzl Ecrin Roc Helmet, but even better in several ways. It has much better padding than my Ecrin Roc, has the EPS lining that is absent from my Petzl helmet, and has the ventilation holes covered that are also absent from my Petzl helmet. My other helmet, however, has a stiffer shell.Pros:- Very minimum flex in the shell of this polypropylene helmet, with adequate ventilation holes.- It has an CE EN12492 complaint certification for climbing and mountaineering, and it goes through the same penetration testing as EN397 industrial safety helmets. The certification sticker is affixed under the back of the helmet.- Has an EPS polystyrene liner, as well as lots of padding.- Comes with tabs for mounting a headlamp.- Has holes and tabs for mounting a visor and earmuff protection (which must be purchased separately, which fortunately appears to utilize a universal attachment system).- Very lightweight at under 1-pound (only 15-ounces) with all the padding installed.- Retention buckle is very easy to hook and unhook without having to use a mirror.- It has an occipital boa-dial type tightening system on the back of the head to dial-in a precise fit.- The nylon webbing is durable and high quality and is easy to adjust.- Has ten different ventilation holes that are covered by a metal mesh to prevent ingress of particulate matter. I was able to easily blow through them, which I tested to make sure they were really vents.- Has a good instruction manual for proper fitment and care of the helmet.Cons (these are so minor that I am not deducting any stars for these):- Sits a little higher on my head than my other helmets, so I accidentally bump it more easily.- The sticker embellishments are just reflective DOT conspicuity tape, and they don’t adhere to the helmet very well. I’ll likely remove them. The cons are so minor that I wouldn’t let that deter you from getting this helmet. At roughly half the price of what I paid for a Petzl Helmet twenty years ago, I think this helmet is a great value for anyone wanting a helmet for climbing, mountaineering, tree work, or industrial use. This Helmet is not MIPS, EN1385, or ASTM (formerly ANSI) or Snell certified, and is therefore *not* rated for bicycling, e-bike, skiing, scooter, or watersports use.
