Partial note:
- Due to manufacturer changes the filter guide part number MEA49050001 and filter cover part number MCK66787901 will also need to be replaced in some cases. These must be purchased separately.
- Dryer Lint Filter. Does not come with felt. If your screen uses felt then you are in need of a different dryer lint screen and this one will not work.
- If you installed the new screen, it would not sit in like it should. 1. It might be something inside the trap tht might be preventing it. You can cleaned inside. 2. There is a screw for the lint trap housing to loosen it up to see if tht would help. Now it sits in perfectly.
What problems have been solved?
- If your old lint filter is worn or damaged, or if it leaves marks on the clothes at the end of the drying cycle, you will need to replace it with this part.
- The lint filter captures the lint and shreds that accumulate during the dryer cycle. crumbs. When the lint filter is damaged or lost, a large amount of lint is collected in the dryer exhaust hose. Not only does this cause a fire, it also reduces the efficiency and service life of the dryer.
- To complete the repair, simply remove the old filter, clean the remaining lint and debris, and install a new filter. No tools needed.
Where's my model number?
- Models on dryers are usually pretty easy to find. Usually located around the door frame. Simply open the door to your dryer and check for a sticker or plate around the door frame or on the actual interior of the door.
- A model number looks very specific as it will state the brand and then state the model number and serial number.
- You'll only need the model number in most cases as serial numbers are usually used for other purposes or for model specifics that relate to color and operations within a model.
- Other places a model can be are behind the console / control area or on the side of the dryer. You won't find the model number in the service manual.

I have the right model number but the filter doesn't fit flush with the lint trap. I've had some clothes that have caught on the exposed edge. Doesn't happen often but the design flaw needs to be corrected.

Please look at your model nb on your machine before you purchase. The filter is good but because if doesn’t fit perfectly it ripped all clothes/bras with straps. Some lace clothes as well. This filter was slightly narrow for my machine but it was enough for clothes to get caught and ruined. I uploaded the pics of where you find your model nb, mine is DLE2350R. Go to Google and you will see it from a site called fast parts. In one of my pics you can see this filter (the one with lint on it) and the one from fast parts. They look similar but the one from fast parts is the exact serial nb and fits like a glove. You can also see in one of my pics the amount of lint I took out from the machine after I removed the filter, this was lint that fell around it because it did not fit properly. Don’t waste your money. I bought 2 of these and never used the second one. I ended up finding it in fast parts and yes it’s more expensive and you have to pay shipping but if you like your clothes …. It’s worth it.

I had wondered and wondered why my old lint screen wouldn't slide all the way in anymore, and had worried that perhaps hardened lint was blocking it. I had fretted and vacuumed and brushed--and then FINALLY I thought, "Oh--maybe it's warped." I decided to try an inexpensive replacement; I didn't want to spend very much just in case that wasn't the problem. But sure enough--this new one slid right in and seems to be doing fine. I will say that it does not look or feel as sturdy as the one that came with the dryer, but.....I'm fine with it, and very relieved that this was the only fix required.

At first it didn't fit snug, so I got a flashlight to see why. A lot of lint over time built up a layer of lint in the filter slot. I had to clean it out with long tweezers since my vacuum crevice attachment was way to short. Once cleaned the filter fit like the original. Be sure to keep that filter slot clean too. These things are not fool proof.

I noticed another person wrote a review that stated it worked great but you have to make sure the bottom has no lint. I will repeat what they said. The lint screen will not fit properly unless the bottom of the filter housing is CLEAN, I had to scrape and use brush and a vacuum cleaner hose to ensure that there was no lint residue. After that it works perfectly. I bought 2 of them as my last one broke after catching a table cloth and twisting and breaking it. I would recommend this product.
