Does not work reliably. Repeated error messages and a very long read time on the rare occasion that it does behave. I wish I had not bought this.

I love how small this thermometer is. I actually got this one to compare to my other one and they read the same exact temperature. So id say it’s very accurate!

J’ai acheté ce thermomètre en complément du Braun Thermoscan à 7+ pour être sûre de relever la bonne température : mieux vaut faire des vérifications multiples avec des appareils différents. Avant nous utilisions le rectal dont on avait aucun doute sur la fiabilité, mais avec les infrarouges, on n’est jamais sûr. J’ai acheté celui-ci en complément, après avoir cherché pendant longtemps. J’ai choisi celui-ci, car la température se prend sur l’artère temporal directement sur la peau. Il paraît fiable, la température ne diffère pas d’une prise à une autre, et il n’a que 2 dixièmes de différence avec le Braun. Si l’on compare l’affichage des températures entre les 2, étant donné qu’ils donnent la même à 2 dixièmes près, à moins d’une coïncidence énorme, ils semble qu’ils soient tous 2 fiables, mais celui-ci bien bien moins cher que le thermoscan 7+. Je vous conseille quand même, surtout si vous avez des enfants, d’acheter 2 thermomètres à technologie différente, afin de faire une vérification et de ne pas passer à côté d’une forte fièvre à cause d’un thermomètre peu fiable. Le prix n’implique pas la fiabilité. Bref pour conclure, je recommande ce thermomètre.

I bought this for my granddaughter because the rectal thermometer is just a hassle. This works great and I can take her temperature while she’s asleep.

Articolo ottimo e preciso.Vorrei dire a coloro che hanno scritto che non è preciso perché con due misurazioni una di seguito all'altra da una lettura diversa: è normale... anche il termometro a mercurio lo fa. Il nostro corpo non ha una temperatura costante durante la giornata ed anche da un minuto all'altro. Quindi che la prima misurazione sia, ad esempio, 36,5°, ,a seconda 36,6°, la terza 36,4° è perfettamente normale.Quindi prima di dire che non funziona o che non è preciso informatevi bene su come funziona la temperatura del corpo umano: non è un corpo inanimato che mantiene la temperatura per un certo periodo.

This was being used by the home health nurses assisting my husband so I finally asked what brand it was thinking if professional healthcare staff were using it, it must be good. BINGO. I threw out 5 other almost useless digital thermometers and now have one that actually is simple to use and works all the time. Those point-n-shoot ones are notoriously inaccurate and it’s inconvenient to have to place a sheath on oral thermometers. It cleans quickly with an alcohol prep pad. Would buy it again.
